KSFR
KSFR-FM is a broadcast radio station licensed to White Rock, New Mexico, and serving the Santa Fe area broadcasting on 101.1 FM. KSFR is Santa Fe, New Mexico's community/public radio station. It is owned by the Santa Fe Community College and managed by the 501(c)(3) non-profit Northern New Mexico Radio Foundation. The station features a wide variety of locally-produced music, news and talk shows, as well as programming from the BBC, ''Democracy Now'', and other national programs. KSFR's news team won the Associated Press' "New Mexico Station of the Year" award in 2004, 2005, and 2006. In 2015, the New Mexico Broadcasters Association named KSFR "Best Radio Station" in a large market. The station originally broadcast at 90.7 FM. KQLV (FM)
KQLV (90.7 FM) is an American radio station serving the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas. It is a non-commercial station owned by Educational Media Foundation, broadcasting its K-Love satellite Christian Contemporary music format. History 90.7 started in 1987 as KSFR a community radio station for Santa Fe. It was a class A facility that broadcast at 3,000 watts. KSFR is owned by Santa Fe Community College and broadcasts non-commercial public radio programming. When Clear Channel Communications announced its plan to go private in November 2006, they announced they intended to sell most of their radio stations outside of the top 100 Arbitron markets - including their Santa Fe-only stations KSFQ (101.1) and KBAC (98.1). KBAC (98.1 FM, "Radio Free Santa Fe") is a commercial radio station located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, broadcasting to the Santa Fe, New Mexico, area. KBAC airs an adult album alternative music format. KBAC has a playlist that is more eclectic then other commercial adult album alternative radio stations; airing a wide range of music from blues, acoustic, reggae, jazz, alternative, world music, and is owned by Hutton Broadcasting. KSAN (107.7 MHz, "107.7 The Bone") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to San Mateo, California, and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. White Rock, New Mexico
White Rock is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Los Alamos County, New Mexico. It is one of two major population centers in the county; the other is Los Alamos, New Mexico, Los Alamos (the county seat). The population was 5,725 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. It is largely a bedroom community for employees of Los Alamos National Laboratory and their families. Access to White Rock from the town of Los Alamos and other cities and towns in New Mexico is via New Mexico State Road 4, which forms the northwestern boundary of the community. Metromedia (also often MetroMedia) was an American media company that owned radio and television stations in the United States from 1956 to 1986 and controlled Orion Pictures from 1988 to 1997. Metromedia was established in 1956 after the DuMont Television Network ceased operations and its owned-and-operated stations were spun off into a separate company.
