KQLV (FM)
KQLV (90.7 FM) is an American radio station serving the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas. It is a non-commercial station owned by Educational Media Foundation, broadcasting its K-Love satellite Christian Contemporary music format. History 90.7 started in 1987 as KSFR a community radio station for Santa Fe. It was a class A facility that broadcast at 3,000 watts. KSFR is owned by Santa Fe Community College and broadcasts non-commercial public radio programming. When Clear Channel Communications announced its plan to go private in November 2006, they announced they intended to sell most of their radio stations outside of the top 100 Arbitron markets - including their Santa Fe-only stations KSFQ (101.1) and KBAC (98.1). Both were sold to EMF in early 2007, but on May 23, 2007 EMF sold KBAC to Hutton Broadcasting allowing it to continue its Adult Album Alternative format. Suffolk is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and as such has no county. As of the 2020 census, the population was 94,324. It is the 9th most populous city in Virginia and the largest city in Virginia by boundary land area as well as the 14th largest in the country. KBAC (98.1 FM, "Radio Free Santa Fe") is a commercial radio station located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, broadcasting to the Santa Fe, New Mexico, area. KBAC airs an adult album alternative music format. KBAC has a playlist that is more eclectic then other commercial adult album alternative radio stations; airing a wide range of music from blues, acoustic, reggae, jazz, alternative, world music, and is owned by Hutton Broadcasting. Air1 is an American Christian radio network. Owned by the Educational Media Foundation (EMF), it primarily broadcasts contemporary worship music, and is a sister to the EMF's K-Love network. History In 1986, KLRD began broadcasting Christian Hit/Rock music from Yucaipa, California, and went by the on-air moniker K-LORD. In 1994, KXRD was started as a sister station to KLRD. In 1995, K-LORD changed its name to "Air1" and began broadcasting via satellite from St. Helens, Oregon. In 1999, Air1 joined with EMF Broadcasting, and finally in 2002, it moved its headquarters to Rocklin, California. Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter. It is the total power in watts that would have to be radiated by a half-wave dipole antenna to give the same radiation intensity (signal strength or power flux density in watts per square meter) as the actual source antenna at a distant receiver located in the direction of the antenna's strongest beam (main lobe). Sandia Crest, also known locally as Sandia Peak or simply as the Crest, is a mountain ridge that, at , is the highpoint of the Sandia–Manzano Mountains, and is located in the Sandia Mountains of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States. Instead of a true summit or topographic peak, this range climbs to a long ridge line. To the east, the range slopes down from the Crest and merges into the plains below. On the west side of the Crest is a cliff; the range dramatically drops over in elevation over of horizontal distance to the Rio Grande Valley and city of Albuquerque below. KSFR-FM is a broadcast radio station licensed to White Rock, New Mexico, and serving the Santa Fe area broadcasting on 101.1 FM. KSFR is Santa Fe, New Mexico's community/public radio station. It is owned by the Santa Fe Community College and managed by the 501(c)(3) non-profit Northern New Mexico Radio Foundation. The station features a wide variety of locally-produced music, news and talk shows, as well as programming from the BBC, ''Democracy Now'', and other national programs. KSFR's news team won the Associated Press' "New Mexico Station of the Year" award in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
