KRQB
KRQB (96.1 MHz) is one of four Southern California FM radio stations branded as "Que Buena" and which all play Regional Mexican music. Its owner is Estrella Media. KRQB shares the same weekday morning show as the three Los Angeles-area Que Buena stations, but has local DJs the rest of the day. KRQB is licensed to San Jacinto, California, and serves the Riverside-San Bernardino radio market. KRQB has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 1,400 watts, as a Class A station. KBUE (105.5 FM, "Que Buena 105.5/94.3 FM") is a commercial radio station licensed to Long Beach, California, that serves the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It is owned by Estrella Media and airs a Regional Mexican radio format. Studios and offices are on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. KBUE's transmitter is located off East University Avenue in Compton, California. It has an effective radiated power of 3,000 watts, making it a Class A station. History KVFM signed on the air November 14, 1958. It was owned by the San Fernando Valley Broadcasting Company, a business of Walter Gelb and Ted Bolnick. Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter. It is the total power in watts that would have to be radiated by a half-wave dipole antenna to give the same radiation intensity (signal strength or power flux density in watts per square meter) as the actual source antenna at a distant receiver located in the direction of the antenna's strongest beam (main lobe). ERP measures the combination of the power emitted by the transmitter and the ability of the antenna to direct that power in a given direction.
