KK Čelik
KK Zenica Čelik (a.k.a. ''Omladinski košarkaški klub Čelik'') is a Bosnian basketball team that competes in the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Formed in 1946, Zenica Čelik was champion of the Yugoslav second division (1. liga B) three times and played many years in the prestigious Yugoslav First Basketball League. At that time, first Yugoslav League was considered the best basketball league in Europe and the second best in the world, behind the NBA. In 1999, Zenica Čelik merged with Zenica Metalno. Emir Preldžić (born 6 September 1987) is a Bosnian-Turkish professional basketball player who last played for Orlovik Žepče of the A2 League of FBiH, third level of basketball in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also represented the Turkish national basketball team. He is 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m) tall and he mainly plays the small forward position, but he also has the ability to play as a power forward, shooting guard and point guard. Ljubomir "Ljuba" Katić ( sr-cyr, Љубомир "Љуба" Катић; born 25 April 1934) is a Serbian former basketball player and coach. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Playing career Katić started his basketball career with Partizan Zrenjanin. Later, he moved to another Zrenjanin-based team Radnički Kristal. In autumn 1952, Katić joined Proleter Zrenjanin. On 22 May 1953, he made his professional debut for Proleter in a 54–52 loss to Crvena zvezda. During his first stint with Proleter he won the Yugoslav Championship in the 1956 season. Zoran Savić ( sr-Cyrl, Зоран Савић; born November 18, 1966) is a Serbian professional basketball executive and former professional player who is currently the sports director for Partizan Belgrade of the Serbian KLS, the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague. Hasan Rizvić (born 18 January 1984) is a Bosnian-born Slovenian professional basketball player for KK Šenčur of Slovenian League. The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year.
