Košarkaški klub Smederevo 1953 ( sr-cyr, Кошаркашки клуб Смедерево 1953), commonly referred to as KK Smederevo 1953, is a men's basketball club based in Smederevo, Serbia. The club currently plays in the Second Regional League of Serbia (4th-tier). History Club was founded by students of the University of Belgrade on July 28, 1953, under the name of KK Metalac (Serbian Cyrillic: КК Металац). In that time club was part of the Metalac Sports Society. The first club president was Kosta Perović, while the first coach (and also a player) was Roman Bruj. The 2011–12 season of KLS was the first time the club competed in the top professional club league in Serbia. Second Men's Regional League ( sr-cyrl, Друга мушка регионална лига, Druga muška regionalna liga) is the men's regional basketball league in Serbia. It is the 4th-tier of the basketball league system in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Darko Balaban ( sr-cyr, Дарко Балабан; born September 22, 1989) is a Serbian professional basketball player for BC Balkan Botevgrad, Balkan of the Bulgarian National Basketball League (Bulgaria), NBL. Rade Zagorac ( sr-cyr, Раде Загорац; born 12 August 1995) is a Serbian professional basketball player for Avtodor Saratov of the VTB United League. Standing at 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m), he mainly plays at the small forward position. Professional career Zagorac began his professional career with Mega Vizura starting with 2012–13 season. He spent the 2013–14 season on loan to Smederevo 1953. He returned to Mega for the 2014–15 season. Zoran Todorović ( sr-cyr, Зоран Тодоровић; born July 9, 1967) is a Serbian basketball coach and former player. Playing career Todorović played for Smederevo 1953, Goša from Smederevska Palanka, and Radnički Kovin. He also played in the 1995–96 season for the Apollon Limassol of the Cyprus Division A.
