Branko Mirković
Branko Mirković ( sr-cyr, Бранко Мирковић, bg, Бранко Миркович; born October 5, 1982) is a Serbian-Bulgarian professional basketball player who currently plays for Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys of the Lithuanian Basketball League. Professional career During his career, Mirković played for KK Smederevo 1953, KK Pelister, BC Rilski Sportist, PBC Lukoil Academic and KK Igokea. On July 24, 2013, he signed with BC Tsmoki-Minsk. On June 21, 2020, he has signed with Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys of the Lithuanian Basketball League. Bulgarian national basketball team In 2013, Mirković accepted to play for the Bulgaria national basketball team after which he received a Bulgarian passport. With the national team, he led all players at FIBA EuroBasket 2015 qualification in minutes played, while averaging 12 points, 4 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. Korvpalli Meistriliiga
The Korvpalli Meistriliiga ( en, Basketball Champions League), known as the OlyBet Korvpalli Meistriliiga for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier level and most important professional basketball league in Estonia. It is controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The first Estonian Basketball Championship tournament was held in 1925. During Soviet era (1941–1991) the league was called the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic Championship. After Estonia regained its independence in 1991, the league was reformed as the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). The KML, which is played under FIBA rules, currently consists of eight teams. FIBA EuroBasket 2015 Qualification
This article describes the qualification procedure for EuroBasket 2015. Qualification format In the first qualifying round, 13 teams which didn't qualify for EuroBasket 2013 have been divided into four groups. The winners of each group advance to the knockout stage, composed by two semifinals and one final series under a home-and-away format. The champion of the first qualifying round qualifies directly for EuroBasket 2015, while the rest of the teams join 14 EuroBasket 2013 teams which did not qualify directly for the 2015 edition in the second qualifying round.
