Košarkaški klub Leotar ( sr-cyrl, Кошаркашки клуб Леотар, ), commonly referred to as KK Leotar or Leotar Trebinje, is a men's professional basketball club based in Trebinje, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are currently competing in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship. History The club is formed in 1948 as DTV Partizan and renamed as KK Leotar in 1974 after the mountain located just north of Trebinje. The club won the First League of Republika Srpska in the 2018–19 season and got promoted to Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship for the 2019–20 season. Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year. Petar Rodić
Petar Rodić ( sr-cyr, Петар Родић; born June 23, 1959) is a Serbian basketball coach. Early life Rodić started to play basketball for OKK Dunav, the club where he was one of the founding members. In 1979, he retired due to injury. Rodić earned his degree in physical culture from the University of Novi Sad. Coaching career In 1979, Rodić became head coach for Dunav. In 1985, he sign for KK Lifam, based in Stara Pazova. In 1986, Rodić joined the Partizan coaching staff as an assistant coach. He won Yugoslav League championship in the 1986–87 season. In the late-1980s and during 1990s, Rodić had coaching stints in Mladost Zemun, Lifam, Užice, Raj banka Berane, Klik Arilje and Radnički Zastava. Miroslav Popov ( sr-cyr, Миодраг Попов; born November 26, 1957) is a Serbian professional basketball coach for Tianjin Ronggang of the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA).
