Petar Rodić
Petar Rodić ( sr-cyr, Петар Родић; born June 23, 1959) is a Serbian basketball coach. Early life Rodić started to play basketball for OKK Dunav, the club where he was one of the founding members. In 1979, he retired due to injury. Rodić earned his degree in physical culture from the University of Novi Sad. Coaching career In 1979, Rodić became head coach for Dunav. In 1985, he sign for KK Lifam, based in Stara Pazova. In 1986, Rodić joined the Partizan coaching staff as an assistant coach. He won Yugoslav League championship in the 1986–87 season. In the late-1980s and during 1990s, Rodić had coaching stints in Mladost Zemun, Lifam, Užice, Raj banka Berane, Klik Arilje and Radnički Zastava. Rodić coached the Yugoslavia cadet team that won the gold medal at the 1999 European Championship for Cadets. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. Coaches also have the responsibility to improve their team by player development, strategy, and in-game management. Coaches also teach and inspire their team to be their best. Coaching is usually performed by a single person, often with the help of one or more assistants. 1999 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship
The 1999 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship (known at that time as 1999 European Championship for Cadets) was the 15th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. The cities of Polzela, Celje and Laško, in Slovenia, hosted the tournament. Yugoslavia won the trophy for the second time in a row. Yugoslav Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945 and folded in 1992 (1991-92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. Stara Pazova (, ; hu, Ópazova) is a town and municipality located in the Srem District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia.
