KDRC-LD, virtual and UHF digital channel 26, is a low-powered television station licensed to Redding, California, United States. The station is owned by TheDove TV, based out of Medford, Oregon. On cable, the station can be seen on Spectrum cable channel 94 in the Redding and Red Bluff areas only. History Origins The station began as KGEC-LP in the late 1990's. Fresno businessman George E. Cooper and his wife Millie founded Cooper Communications, LLC, in 1993 upon moving to the Redding area. KGEC signed on for the first time in late October 1997 and became an America One network affiliate on January 14, 1998, and would remain so until that network went to KMCA-LP in 2000. The station is owned by One Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Santa Rosa, California. KQSL's transmitter is located west of Laytonville, California. History KQSL debuted in 1990 as KFWU, originally licensed to Fort Bragg, California and owned by California Oregon Broadcasting. As a satellite of ABC affiliate KAEF-TV in Eureka, the station was sold to Lamco Communications (along with KAEF) in 1995. The station is owned by the Lincoln Broadcasting Company, and maintains studios on Valley Drive in south suburban Brisbane.
