KDRC-LD, virtual and UHF digital channel 26, is a low-powered television station licensed to Redding, California, United States. The station is owned by TheDove TV, based out of Medford, Oregon. On cable, the station can be seen on Spectrum cable channel 94 in the Redding and Red Bluff areas only. History Origins The station began as KGEC-LP in the late 1990's. Fresno businessman George E. Cooper and his wife Millie founded Cooper Communications, LLC, in 1993 upon moving to the Redding area. KGEC signed on for the first time in late October 1997 and became an America One network affiliate on January 14, 1998, and would remain so until that network went to KMCA-LP in 2000. It would begin local coverage of Golden State Warriors NBA basketball in 1999 and would last just one season. The station's call letters were the initials of Cooper, the station's primary founder. KKPM-CD (channel 28) is a low-power, Class A religious television station licensed to Yuba City, California, United States. The Family Channel is an American general entertainment television network owned by Get After It Media (formerly Luken Communications and Reach High Media Group), and based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. History In September 2008, ValCom announced that they would purchase the assets of Faith TV, relaunching it as a more broadly-distributed family television network. On December 15, 2008, ValCom deal to purchase Faith TV closed and they relaunched Faith TV as My Family TV. On October 1, 2009, ValCom completed the purchase of the network after making its final $250,000 payment. Tuff TV was an American digital broadcast television network targeted at men owned by the Tuff TV, Inc. division of Seals Entertainment Corporation. Tuff TV launched on June 30, 2009, and ceased operations August 26, 2018.
