KDDL (94.3 FM, "Cattle Country 94.3") is an American radio station licensed to serve Chino Valley, Arizona. Its coverage area includes Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley. The station was acquired in 2007 by Sanford and Terry Cohen d/b/a Arizona's Hometown Radio Group and licensed to Prescott Valley Broadcasting Co. Inc. It airs a classic country music format. Cattle Country is also heard via FM translator at 100.7 FM. KDDL is a radio sponsor of Prescott Frontier Days, home of the World's Oldest Rodeo. It broadcasts live every rodeo season from the Prescott Frontier Days Parade and also from the Chino Valley Territorial Days Parade every September. KPPV (106.9 FM, "The Mix 106.9 FM") is an American radio station licensed to serve Prescott Valley, Arizona, United States. It began broadcasting on September 1, 1985 from the studio at Robert Road and Jacque Drive. The station is owned by Sanford and Terry Cohen d/b/a Arizona's Hometown Radio Group and licensed to Prescott Valley Broadcasting Co. Inc. Its coverage area spans the Prescott/Prescott Valley/Chino Valley/Dewey-Humboldt Quad Cities area. KPPV is also heard via licensed FM booster on 106.7 in Cottonwood and Clarkdale, Arizona and via FM Translator on 100.7 in Flagstaff, AZ. KPPV developed the first solar powered FM transmitter site atop Glassford Hill in 1986. KQNA
KQNA (1130 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Prescott Valley, Arizona. It has a talk radio format and is owned by the Prescott Valley Broadcasting Co. (d/b/a Arizona's Hometown Radio Group). The studios and offices are on Karicio Lane in Prescott. By day, KQNA is powered at 1,000 watts non-directional. But 1130 AM is a clear channel frequency. So to avoid interference to other stations, KQNA greatly reduces power at night to only four watts. Programming is also heard on two FM translators: 10-watt K260BL on 99.9 MHz came into service in 2009; it is aimed at downtown Prescott and broadcasts from southwest of the city. 250-watt K238CB on 95.5 broadcasts from Mingus Mountain toward Prescott Valley and Cottonwood and was acquired from Advance Ministries in 2016. Chino Valley, Arizona
Chino Valley is a town in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. According to the 2010 census, the population of the town is 10,817. Geography Chino Valley is located at (34.758381, -112.449758). The town is located adjacent the southeast terminus of Chino Valley, approximately north at Paulden. The smaller north-trending Little Chino Valley lies just east of the townsite. Call Sign
In broadcasting and radio communications, a call sign (also known as a call name or call letters—and historically as a call signal—or abbreviated as a call) is a unique identifier for a transmitter station. A call sign can be formally assigned by a government agency, informally adopted by individuals or organizations, or even cryptographically encoded to disguise a station's identity. The use of call signs as unique identifiers dates to the landline railroad telegraph system. Because there was only one telegraph line linking all railroad stations, there needed to be a way to address each one when sending a telegram. In order to save time, two-letter identifiers were adopted for this purpose.
