K.A.S. Eupen (short for Königliche Allgemeine Sportvereinigung Eupen, English: ''Royal General Sports Association Eupen'', simply referred to as Eupen) is a Belgian professional association football club located in Eupen, Liège (province), Province of Liège, which currently plays in the Belgian Pro League, the top tier of football in Belgium, Belgian football. The club was formed on 9 July 1945 through the merger of two older Eupen clubs, ''Jugend Eupen'' and ''FC Eupen 1920''. The club has been playing at the Kehrwegstadion in Eupen since its inaugural season. Eupen is the first Belgian club based in the German-speaking Community of Belgium to have played in the Belgian top division. History Foundation and early years K.A.S. The Kehrwegstadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Eupen, Belgium. It is mainly used for association football, football matches and hosts the home matches of K.A.S. Eupen of the Belgian First Division. The stadium has a capacity of 8,363 as-eupen.be (last check 30 March 2018) of which 5,603 are seats and 2,760 are standing places. Bonner SC is a German association football club based in Bonn. The club was formed in 1965 through the merger of ''Bonner FV'' and ''Tura Bonn''. Its former women's football department won the German national championship in 1975. Jean Nicolay
Jean Nicolay (27 December 1937 – 18 August 2014) was a Belgian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He earned the Belgian Golden Shoe in 1963 while at Standard Liège. He made 39 caps for the national team between 1959 and 1967, his debut being a 0–2 friendly defeat to Austria on 24 May 1959. Nicolay played between 1955 en 1969 with Standard Liège, where he won the Belgian Champsionship in 1958, 1961, 1963 and 1969, and the Belgian Cup in 1966 and 1967. In 1969 Nicolay transferred to Daring Club de Bruxelles. Later he also played at Royal Tilleur. After retiring from football, Nicolay was goalkeepers coach with Standard Liège, Mechelen, Metz, the Swiss national football team and the Belgium national football team.
