Jílové u Prahy (german: Eule) is a town in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,200 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Administrative parts Villages of Borek, Kabáty, Luka pod Medníkem, Radlík, Studené and Žampach are administrative parts of Jílové u Prahy. Geography Jílové u Prahy is located about south of Prague. It lies in the Benešov Uplands. The highest point is the hill Lípový vrch at above sea level. The Sázava River forms the southern municipal border. History The first written mention of Jílové is from 1310. It is proved its existence in the 13th century, when it was founded by merger of gold mining settlements. Vladislaus II Of Hungary
Vladislaus II, also known as Vladislav, Władysław or Wladislas ( hu, II. Ulászló; 1 March 1456 – 13 March 1516), was King of Bohemia from 1471 to 1516, and King of Hungary and Croatia from 1490 to 1516. As the eldest son of Casimir IV Jagiellon, he was expected to inherit Poland and Lithuania. George of Poděbrady, the Hussite ruler of Bohemia, offered to make Vladislaus his heir in 1468. George needed Casimir IV's support against the rebellious Catholic noblemen and their ally, Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary. The Diet of Bohemia elected Vladislaus king after George's death, but he could only rule Bohemia proper, because Matthias (whom the Catholic nobles had elected king) occupied Moravia, Silesia and both Lusatias. Peschici
Peschici is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. Famous for its seaside resorts, its territory belongs to the Gargano National Park and to the Gargano Mountain Community. Geography Peschici is situated on the north-eastern coast of Gargano promontory, east of San Menaio, from Rodi Garganico, and west of Vieste. The town sits over a karst spur facing the sea, with a height of more than ; the territory features a number of coastal watch towers. Nováky
Nováky ( hu, Nyitranovák) is a town in the Prievidza District, Trenčín Region in western Slovakia. Nováky Power Plant, a thermal power plant is located near the town. The town is one of the centres of brown coal mining in Slovakia. Geography The town is located in the upper Nitra River valley, between the Vtáčnik and Strážovské vrchy ranges, about from Prievidza. History The first written record about Nováky was in 1113 as ''Nuovac''. In 1942, during the reign of the Nazi puppet government of "Independent" Slovakia, nearby barracks were used for the assembly and detention of Slovak Jews from all over the country, pending their deportation to Nazi death camps in German-occupied Poland.
