Jérôme Bonnissel
Jérôme Bonnissel (born 16 April 1973) is a French former professional footballer who played as a left-back. Career Born in Montpellier, Bonnissel started his career with hometown club Montpellier, and proceeded to spend three seasons with La Liga club Deportivo de La Coruña. He returned to his homeland to join Bordeaux in 1999 and stayed until he joined Rangers during the 2003 January transfer window, on a contract until the end of the season. The highlight of his time at Rangers was a start in the 2003 Scottish League Cup Final win over Celtic at Hampden Park. In the summer of 2003 he joined Fulham on a free transfer, going on to play in their memorable 3–1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. On Boxing Day 2003 he was injured in a league game against Southampton and never played for Fulham again before leaving the club in 2005. The Supercopa de España or the ''Spanish Super Cup'' is a super cup tournament in Spanish football. Founded in 1982 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2019–20 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the Copa del Rey and La Liga. Ligue 1, officially known as Ligue 1 Uber Eats for sponsorship reasons, is a French professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the French football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. The Coupe de la Ligue (), known outside France as the French League Cup, was a Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Football in France, French football organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The tournament was established in 1993 and, unlike the Coupe de France, was only open to professional clubs in France which play in country's French football league system, top three football divisions, though the Championnat National, third is not fully professional. The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I. The final is played at the Stade de France and the winner qualifies for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and a place in the Trophée des Champions match.
