Central Denmark Region
The Central Denmark Region ( da, Region Midtjylland), or more directly translated as the Central Jutland Region and sometimes simply Mid Jutland, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform. The reform abolished the traditional counties (''amter'') and replaced them with five new administrative regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the total number of municipalities from 271 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favour of the local level and the national government in Copenhagen. The Central Denmark Region comprises 19 municipalities. Hedensted Municipality
Hedensted Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland formed out of three former municipalities, one of which with the same name, 1 January 2007 on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. Its seat and main town is Hedensted. Overview The coastal town municipality south of Aarhus, and sandwiched in between Horsens and Vejle, and bordering Ikast-Brande Municipality to the northwest, covers an area of 551.36 km² and has a total population of 46,747 (1 January 2019). Anders Schmidt Hansen
Anders Schmidt Hansen (born 31 January 1978) is a Danish professional golfer. Hansen won his national open in 1999 as an amateur, before turning professional in 2003 at the age of 25. At the end of that year he reached the final stage of the European Tour's Qualifying School, entitling him to play on the second-tier Challenge Tour in 2004. He played thirteen Challenge Tour events in 2004, but recorded only one top-10 finish and ended 108th on the money list. However, this still gained him entry to most Tour events in 2005, and he enjoyed a far more successful year, with a runners-up place at the Galeria Kaufhof Pokal Challenge, and finishing 42nd on the money list. In 2007 he enjoyed his most successful year to date, recording a maiden Challenge Tour win at the MAN NÖ Open and ending 28th on the money list. Regions Of Denmark
The five Regions of Denmark ( da, regioner) were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties ('' amter'') were abolished. At the same time, the number of municipalities ('' kommuner'') was cut from 270 to 98. The reform was approved and made into a law by the lawmakers in the Folketing 26 June 2005 with elections to the 98 municipalities and 5 regions being held Tuesday 15 November 2005. Each region is governed by a popularly elected regional council with 41 members, from whom the regional chairperson is chosen. The main responsibility of the regions is healthcare. Statistics Denmark ( da, Danmarks Statistik) is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics. Gunnar Berg (composer)
Gunnar Berg (11 January 1909 – 25 August 1989) was a Swiss-born Danish composer. A leading exponent of serialism in Denmark, he is considered to have written the first Danish serial piece, his ''Cosmogonie'' for two pianos, in 1952. Berg was born to Danish and Swedish parents in Switzerland. He studied with Herman David Koppel from 1938 to 1943, and moved to Paris in 1948, where he became associated with Honegger and Messiaen. In 1952 he married the pianist Béatrice Duffour, who would later record much of his piano music. In the same year he became the first Dane to attend the summer courses at Darmstadt. Arriving in Paris in 1948 he became part of the international modernist movement in post-War Europe by joining the circle around Olivier Messiaen. Here, Berg had inspiring encounters with key figures such as John Cage, Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen. In music, serialism is a method of Musical composition, composition using series of pitches, rhythms, dynamics, timbres or other elements of music, musical elements.
