JuVaughn Harrison
JuVaughn Krishna Harrison (né Blake; born April 30, 1999) is an American high jumper and long jumper. He won the silver medal in the high jump at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Career Youth Harrison attended Columbia high school in Huntsville, Alabama. He recorded bests of 7 feet 2 inches in the high jump and 23 feet 0.5 inches in the long jump. Collegiate On March 12, 2021, in Fayetteville, Arkansas on the occasion of the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, Harrison set personal records in the high jump with 2.30 m and in the long jump with 8.45 m, thus becoming the first man in history capable of jumping at least 8.40 m in the long jump and 2.30 m in the high jump. On June 27, 2021, Harrison won both the long jump and the high jump at the US National Team Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Track And Field Championships
The NCAA Men's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championship is an annual collegiate indoor track and field competition for men organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Athlete's individual performances earn points for their institution and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I women's competition is also held. The Japan National Stadium, officially named and formerly known as or , is a multi-purpose stadium used mostly for association football in Kasumigaoka, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Gianmarco Tamberi
Gianmarco Tamberi (born 1 June 1992) is an Italian high jumper, current Olympic champion (2020 Summer Olympics) and World indoor champion (2016). He won the 2021 Diamond League crown, becoming the first ever Italian to do so, and repeated this in 2022. Career Gianmarco is coached by his father, Marco Tamberi, who held the indoor Italian record in 1983 with a height of 2.28 m. In 2015, Tamberi broke the Italian high jump record twice—first with a jump of 2.34 m in Cologne, and second with a 2.37 m in Eberstadt, where he was second behind Derek Drouin. James Francis Thorpe ( Sac and Fox (Sauk): ''Wa-Tho-Huk'', translated as "Bright Path"; May 22 or 28, 1887March 28, 1953) was an American athlete and Olympic gold medalist. A member of the Sac and Fox Nation, Thorpe was the first Native American to win a gold medal for the United States in the Olympics.
