Jowst
Joakim With Steen (born 26 June 1989), better known as Jowst (usually stylised JOWST), is a Norwegian music producer and songwriter. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Grab the Moment", along with vocalist Aleksander Walmann finishing in 10th place. Early life and career Steen was born in Trondheim and raised in Tiller. At age 14, his family moved to Steinkjer. At the age of fifteen his main focus was guitar, punk, songwriting and band. After finishing his sound and music production education at the renowned Noroff Institute in Oslo, where he later also worked as a teacher and held lectures in the same field. At the same time he also worked as sound technician and producer for Earport Studios in Fornebu. Joakim started Red Line Studio where he has worked as a sound engineer and producer since 2011. Norway participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The Norwegian broadcaster NRK organised the national final ''Melodi Grand Prix 2017'' in order to select the Norwegian entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Background Prior to the 2017 contest, Norway had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest fifty-five times since their first entry in . The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Kyiv, Ukraine, following the country's victory at the with the song "1944 (song), 1944" by Jamala. ''2023'' was the 61st edition of (MGP), the annual Norwegian music competition that serves as the country's preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. It was organised by Norway's public broadcaster NRK, and consisted of three semi-finals and a final, held throughout January and February 2023. "Grab the Moment" is a song by Norwegian music producer JOWST featuring uncredited vocals from Norwegian singer Aleksander Walmann. The song represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. It was released as a digital download on 15 February 2017, and was written by Jonas McDonnell and Joakim With Steen. Background The song was not originally written for Eurovision. It was originally work titled "Making a Hit" and lyricist Jonas McDonnell had written a rap to the song. During the work on the song, composer Joakim With Steen invited musically interested friends and acquaintances to a closed Facebook group, JOWST - making a hit. In the group, he asked friends for advice and suggestions to make the song better, and he changed the song as the feedback came in. Altogether he got in around 100 suggestions, divided into 22 different sketches and drafts. Agnete Kristin Johnsen (born 4 July 1994), also known as Agnete Saba, or simply Agnete, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Johnsen is best known for being the lead singer of the Norwegian teen punk band The BlackSheeps. Manel Navarro Quesada (born 7 March 1996) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Do It for Your Lover" and finished last in the final. Aleksander Walmann
Aleksander Walmann Åsgården (born 12 January 1986) is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 alongside Jowst with the song "Grab the Moment", finishing in 10th place. Early life and career Walmann was born in Porsgrunn, and grew up in a musical family through childhood. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts.
