José Cobos (footballer)
José Javier Cobos Castillo (born 23 April 1968), known as Cobos, is a French retired footballer who played as a left-back. Career Born in Strasbourg, Cobos started playing professionally with hometown club RC Strasbourg, helping it return to Ligue 1 in 1992. He had already played in the top flight in the 1988–89 season, his official debut coming on 30 July 1988 in a 1–0 away loss against Montpellier HSC. Afterwards, Cobos spent three-and-a-half years with Paris Saint-Germain FC, helping with 14 matches as the capital side won the league in 1994 and he was a more important part of the first-team unit in the following season, as they conquered the Coupe de France. Additionally, in the latter season, he played in all the games to help his team reach the last-four in the European Cup. Coupe De France
The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I. The final is played at the Stade de France and the winner qualifies for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and a place in the Trophée des Champions match. Vincent Cobos
Vincent Cobos (born 4 March 1965) is a French retired footballer who played as a central defender. Football career Cobos was born in Strasbourg. For nine seasons, he played professionally with hometown's RC Strasbourg, including two as captain, and helped his team achieve promotion to Ligue 1 in 1987–88 as champions. Cobos retired from the game at only 28, after two years with lowly SAS Épinal. He appeared in 235 games all competitions comprised with his main club.
