José Berrondo
José Berrondo Silva (26 October 1890 – 21 August 1936) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender for FC Barcelona and Espanyol. He was also a referee and a Basque pelota player. Club career José Berrondo was born in Bilbao, but it was in Valencian Community where he began to play football, joining his hometown club Hispania FC during the 1911–12 season, before signing for FC Barcelona in the following season. In his only season at Barcelona (1912–13), Berrondo won all the titles at stake: The Catalan championship, Copa del Rey and Pyrenees Cup. Barça needed three games to beat Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey final, and he only featured in the second game as a substitute to the injured José Irízar, helping his side keep a clean-sheet in a goalless draw. He also played in the Pyrenees Cup final, this time as a starter, netting a own goal in a 7–2 victory over Cométe et Simot. The 1913 Copa del Rey comprised two different competitions held the same year. Due to disagreements between the Royal Spanish Football Federation ( es, Real Federación Española de Fútbol, RFEF) and some clubs, in 1913 two parallel competitions were held: an "official", organized by the FEF (Federación Española de Fútbol), in Madrid and an "unofficial", organized by the UECF (Unión Española de Clubes de Fútbol), in Barcelona. Arturo Montesinos Cebrián (12 July 1900 – 15 August 1982), nickname Montes, was a Spanish footballer player who played as a forward. He was one of the first idols of the newly created Valencia CF, since he was a crucial player in the difficult beginnings of the club, contributing decisively to take Valencia to the top of Spanish football. Eduardo Cubells Ridaura (17 January 1900 – 13 March 1964) was a Spanish football player and manager. Club career Born in Valencia, Cubells began to play football in some of the first teams that have already disappeared in Valencia, such as Deportivo Español, before moving on to Valencia when it was founded, playing as a midfielder for 13 years. Own Goal
An own goal, also called a self goal, is where a player performs actions that result in them or their team scoring a goal on themselves, often resulting in a point for the opposing team, such as when a football player kicks a ball into their own net or goal, awarding the other team a point. In some parts of the world, the term has become a metaphor for ''any'' action that backfires on the person or group undertaking it, sometimes even carrying a sense of "poetic justice". During The Troubles, for instance, it acquired a specific metaphorical meaning in Belfast, referring to an IED (improvised explosive device) that detonated prematurely, killing the person making or handling the bomb with the intent to harm others.
