Jorge Contreras
Jorge Alejandro Contreras Lira (born July 3, 1960 in Lo Barnechea), usually known by his nickname Coke Contreras, is a former Chilean football forward. Career He made his international debut in the , a friendly match versus Peru, where Chile won by 2–0. He earned 25 caps for the Chile national team during his career, scoring two goals. Contreras retired in 1998. Lo Barnechea is a commune located in the northeastern zone of Santiago de Chile, northeastern sector of the province of Santiago and its area corresponds to 48% of this province. Its urban boundaries are: to the north with Los Andes, Chile, Los Andes of the Valparaíso Region, Valparaíso region, to the west with Colina, Chile, Colina, to the southwest with Vitacura and Huechuraba, to the south with Las Condes and to the east with San José de Maipo. The Copa Texeira ( en, Teixeira Cup), was a friendly football match realized between Brazil and Chile, in order to seal the peace between the two national teams, after the incident at the Estádio do Maracanã that took place during a match valid for the 1990 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Since the season 2009, the winners obtained a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season, however this was change starting from the 2015 edition; since then the winners obtains a direct Copa Libertadores spot for the next season.
