Jorge Chávez No. 1 was a Peruvian football club, located in the city of Lima. The club was founded with the name of club Jorge Chávez Nr. 1 in honor of the Peruvian aviator Jorge Chávez and played in Primera Division Peruana from 1912 until 1929. The club won the national tournament in 1913. Lima ( ; ), originally founded as Ciudad de Los Reyes (City of The Kings) is the capital and the largest city of Peru. Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch.
