Jonathan Kiplimo Maiyo
Jonathan Kiplimo Maiyo (born 5 May 1988) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon events. His personal bests of 59:02 minutes and 2:04:56 hours, respectively, ranks him in the top twenty all-time in both events. He was also the silver medallist over 5000 metres at the 2012 African Championships in Athletics. Originally a pacemaker, he helped Haile Gebrselassie to a marathon world record in 2008. He entered marathons competitively from 2009 onwards and placed in the top ten at the 2012 Berlin Marathon and 2013 Tokyo Marathon. Despite his fast personal best, his best finish for the distance is fourth, achieved at the 2012 Dubai Marathon. He has won half marathons in Breda and Zwolle. Rotterdam Half Marathon
The Rotterdam Half Marathon was an annual half marathon race over 21.1 kilometres, that was staged in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on the second Sunday in September. The event was contested from 2004 to 2009. It was discontinued in 2010 due to lacking participation. In 2022, the race returned co-inciding with the World Police and Fire Games that were held in Rotterdam that year. The municipality of Rotterdam did not grant an event permit for an edition in 2023. Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon
The Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon (Chinese language, Chinese: 扬州鉴真国际半程马拉松赛) is an annual road running competition over the half marathon distance which takes place in April in Yangzhou, People's Republic of China. The event is named in honour of Jianzhen, a Chinese monk from the city who propagated Buddhism in Japan in the 8th century. The event was first held in 2006 and grew exponentially in its first six years: it gained IAAF Silver Label Road Race status in 2010 and began to attract elite and amateur runners alike. The Vienna City Marathon is an annual marathon race over the classic distance of 42.195 km held in Vienna, Austria since 1984. History The first edition was held on with a total of 794 competitors. It was previously known as the Fukuoka International Open Marathon Championship between 1947 and 2021, when it was announced the race would be discontinued on its 75th edition.
