Jon Solomon
Jon Solomon (born April 19, 1973) is an American radio DJ. He has been the host of "Jon Solomon's Annual 25-Hour Holiday Radio Show" at WPRB in Princeton, New Jersey, since 1988, when he was fifteen years old. Solomon's weekly three-hour radio program broadcasts on Wednesdays on WPRB. Each week's show features a live performance, and more than 200 bands have appeared on this show since 2001. ''Philebrity'' called Solomon "the closest thing the Philly indie rock scene has to a John Peel". Solomon lives in the Lawrenceville section of Lawrence Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. The independently owned paper was free and published every Thursday in print and daily online at citypaper.net. Staff reporters focused on labor issues, politics, education and poverty. Savak (band)
SAVAK is an indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York. Their debut album Best of Luck in Future Endeavors was released on Comedy Minus One in May 2016, garnering positive reviews in Magnet Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, Noisey, Vol. 1 Brooklyn and ''Jersey Beat''. The record received four stars in Mojo Magazine, who praised their ''"superior twin-guitar slash."'' Oxford Collapse
Oxford Collapse were an American indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York. The band’s lineup included Michael Pace on vocals and guitars, Dan Fetherston on drums, and Adam Rizer on bass and vocals. History Oxford Collapse first released a limited press self-titled EP for the HCR label in 2002. Shortly after they signed to Kanine Records, a label based in New York City/Brooklyn, where they released their first full-length album '' Some Wilderness'' in April 2004. This was followed by a remix of a track from the album titled " Melting the Ice Queen" in July of that year. Bottomless Pit (band)
Bottomless Pit is an indie rock band from Chicago. Guitarist Andy Cohen and baritone guitarist Tim Midyett, both formerly of Silkworm, formed the band with drummer Chris Manfrin of Seam and bassist Brian Orchard of .22 in 2005. Since inception the group has issued three critically acclaimed records and toured in the United States and Canada. The band also played one show in Paris to open the Villette Sonique Festival in June 2008 at the invitation of fellow Chicago-based rock trio Shellac. Comedy Minus One
Comedy Minus One is an independent record label based in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 2007 by Jon Solomon. Comedy Minus One picks up where an earlier Solomon label - My Pal God Records - left off, but with a more focused remit. Emperor Penguin is an American Chicago-based electronic music duo consisting of DJ Lazlo Minimart and keyboardist Melvoin Stanke. Their sound combines samples, synths, found sounds, and electro-funk. Dianogah (pronounced Dye-ah-NO-gah) is an American indie rock band formed in 1995, noted for their use of two bass guitars. Members include Kip McCabe, Jay Ryan (artist), Jay Ryan, and Jason Harvey (musician), Jason Harvey.
