Jon Cohen (writer)
Jon Cohen is an American novelist and screenwriter. As a screenwriter he is best known for his co-writing contribution to the Steven Spielberg-directed film ''Minority Report (film), Minority Report'' (2002). A native of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, Cohen worked as a critical care nurse in Philadelphia before becoming a writer. He published four books: ''Max Lakeman and the Beautiful Stranger'' (1991), ''The Man in the Window'' (first published in 1992 and then reissued 2013 by Nancy Pearl's Book Lust Rediscoveries), ''Dentist Man'' (1993), and ''Harry's Trees (2018)''. He received a creative writing grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1991. In 2002, he won a Saturn Award for Saturn Award for Best Writing, Best Writing for his work on ''Minority Report'', sharing the award with co-writer Scott Frank. Steven Allan Spielberg (; born December 18, 1946) is an American director, writer, and producer. A major figure of the New Hollywood era and pioneer of the modern blockbuster, he is the most commercially successful director of all time. Spielberg is the recipient of various accolades, including three Academy Awards, a Kennedy Center honor, a Cecil B. DeMille Award, and an AFI Life Achievement Award. ''Minority Report'' is a 2002 American science fiction action film directed by Steven Spielberg, loosely based on the 1956 short story "The Minority Report" by Philip K. Dick. The film is set in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia in the year 2054, where Precrime, a specialized police department, apprehends criminals based on foreknowledge provided by three psychics called " precogs". Swarthmore, Pennsylvania
Swarthmore ( , ) is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Swarthmore was originally named "Westdale" in honor of noted painter Benjamin West, who was one of the early residents of the town. The name was changed to "Swarthmore" after the establishment of Swarthmore College. The borough population was 6,194 as of the 2010 census. History The borough was originally part of Springfield Township, and grew up around Swarthmore College, which was founded in 1864. A. Scott Frank (born March 10, 1960) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and author. Frank has received two Academy Award nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay for ''Out of Sight'' (1998) and ''Logan'' (2017). His film work, credited and uncredited, extends to dozens of films.
