John Ryan (Dublin Hurler)
John Ryan (23 March 1890 – 1 April 1943) was an Irish hurler and physician, most notable for captaining the winning Dublin team that won the 1917 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. UCD GAA or University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association club is a Dublin based Gaelic games club in University College Dublin. The UCD hurling club was founded in 1900 and boasted the mottos "Ad Astra" and "Cothrom Féinne". The first team was an amalgamation of students from UCD and Cecilia St. Although UCD had been playing Gaelic football unofficially since 1900, the official club history began in the season of 1911/1912. John Leahy (27 December 1891 – 19 November 1949) was an Irish hurling, hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary senior team. After joining the team for a tournament game in 1909, Leahy made his proper debut during the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1914, 1914 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1928, 1928 championship. William Hough (4 May 1892 – 13 April 1976) was an Irish people, Irish hurling, hurler who played as a midfielder and as a centre-back for the Limerick GAA, Limerick senior team. Hough first came to prominence as captain of the Waterford GAA, Waterford team for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1913, 1913 championship.
