John Henderson (darts Player)
John Henderson (born 4 May 1973) is a Scottish darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Henderson started out in the PDC circuit and played one tournament in Scotland as well as the 2003 UK Open where he lost in the first round, having won his preliminary match. He then qualified for the 2005 BDO World Darts Championship, where he beat Stephen Bunting in the first round before losing in round two to Martin Adams – hitting a record thirteen 180s (for a five-set match) in the 3–2 defeat. Henderson then reached the quarter-finals of the 2005 British Open and the last 32 of the 2005 Winmau World Masters. Henderson reached the final of the 2007 British Open. He beat Tony O'Shea in the quarter finals and Ted Hankey in the semis before losing to Gary Anderson in the final. 2021 Grand Slam Of Darts
The 2021 Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts was the fifteenth staging of the Grand Slam of Darts, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event returned to the Aldersley Leisure Village, Wolverhampton between 13–21 November 2021, after being held behind closed doors at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry in 2020. José de Sousa was the defending champion, after defeating James Wade 16–12 in the 2020 final, but he was eliminated in the second round, losing 10–9 to Peter Wright. Gerwyn Price won the tournament for the third time in four years, defeating Peter Wright 16–8 in the final. Stephen Bunting
Stephen Bunting (born 9 April 1985) is an English professional darts player who competes in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Nicknamed The Bullet, Bunting won the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship and is a twice former World Masters champion. Darts career Beginnings Bunting won both the British Teenage Open and the World Youth Masters in 2001 and also captured the WDF Europe Youth Cup in 2002. He made his BDO World Darts Championship debut in 2004 aged 18, where he beat Vincent van der Voort in the first round before losing in the second round to former World Champion Ted Hankey. He returned to Lakeside in 2005 but was beaten in the first round by John Henderson. In 2008 Bunting won the Lytham St Annes Open and was also recalled to the England squad. 2003 UK Open Darts
The 2003 Sky Bet UK Open was the first edition of the UK Open darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The tournament was held at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, England between 30 May–1 June 2003. Professional Darts Corporation
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman. The PDC developed and holds several championship competitions, including the annual PDC World Darts Championship, the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, UK Open, Premier League, and Grand Slam. It was abandoned for three years before being recurred in 1990 where it has been held annually. All tournaments was held in Germany at various venues. BDO British Open
The British Open is one of the longest-running darts events, having started just a few months after the first ever Winmau World Masters. The tournament used to be televised by the BBC from its inception, but it ceased to cover the event after 1983. It was often held between Christmas and New Year - the 1975 Championship was actually played in late 1974. The tradition was maintained until near the millennium, when the organisers moved the tournament back to September/October. 2021 PDC World Cup Of Darts
The 2021 Cazoo World Cup of Darts was the eleventh edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts. It took place from 9–12 September 2021 at the Sparkassen-Arena in Jena, Germany. Wales (consisting of players Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton) were the defending champions, after beating the English team ( Michael Smith and Rob Cross) 3–0 in the 2020 final. However, they lost 2–1 to Scotland ( Peter Wright and John Henderson) in the semi-finals.
