John Bolton (Canadian Politician)
John Bolton (November 18, 1824 – July 14, 1872) was a New Brunswick businessman and political figure. He represented Charlotte in the 1st Canadian Parliament as a Liberal member. He was born in England in 1824 and educated there. He was a merchant at Saint Stephen, New Brunswick. In 1858, he married a Miss Christiana Hezediah Upton. His sister Kate married Benjamin Robert Stephenson who represented Charlotte in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. Bolton died at Saint Stephen in 1872. His daughter Ethel married William Frederick Todd William Frederick Todd (May 2, 1854 – March 16, 1935) was a businessman and political figure in New Brunswick. New Brunswick Southwest (french: Nouveau-Brunswick-Sud-Ouest; formerly known as Charlotte and St. Croix—Belleisle) is a federal electoral district in New Brunswick, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. The 1st Canadian Parliament was in session from November 6, 1867, until July 8, 1872. The membership was set by the 1867 federal election from August 7 to September 20, 1867. St. Stephen (2016 population: 4,415) is a Canadian town in Charlotte County, New Brunswick, situated on the east bank of the St. Croix River around the intersection of New Brunswick Route 170 and the southern terminus of New Brunswick Route 3. The St. Croix River marks a section of the Canada–United States border, forming a natural border between Calais, Maine and St. Stephen. U.S. Route 1 parallels the St. Croix river for a few miles, and is accessed from St. Stephen by three cross-border bridges. Benjamin Robert Stephenson
Benjamin Robert Stephenson (April 10, 1835 – January 16, 1890) was a lawyer and political figure in New Brunswick, Canada. He represented Charlotte County in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick as a Liberal member from 1867 to 1882. His surname also appears as Stevenson in some sources. He was born in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, the son of Robert Stephenson, and was educated there and at the University of New Brunswick. Stephenson was called to the bar in 1860 and, in 1866, he married Kate Bolton, the sister of John Bolton, who represented Charlotte in the federal parliament. He served as registrar of probates for the county. William Frederick Todd
William Frederick Todd (May 2, 1854 – March 16, 1935) was a businessman and political figure in New Brunswick. He represented Charlotte County in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1899 to 1903 and Charlotte in the House of Commons of Canada from 1908 to 1911 as a Liberal member. Todd served as the 16th Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick from February 28, 1923, to December 27, 1928. He was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the youngest son of Freeman H.
