John Bell (Virginia Politician)
John Joseph Bell (born January 29, 1963) is an American politician and a retired United States Air Force officer. A Democrat, he currently serves in the Virginia Senate by representing the 13th district. From 2016 to 2020 he served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 87th District. Both districts are located in Loudoun County and Prince William County. Career Bell served in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 2007, working as a finance officer and retiring as a Major. From 2016 to 2020, Bell represented the 87th District in the Virginia House of Delegates. In August 2018, Bell announced he would run in 2019 for Virginia State Senate District 13, then represented by Republican Dick Black. Virginia's 13th Senate District
Virginia's 13th Senate district is one of 40 districts in the Senate of Virginia. It has been represented by Democrat John Bell since 2020, succeeding retiring Republican Dick Black. Geography District 13 covers parts of Loudoun and Prince William Counties in Northern Virginia, including some or all of Purcellville, Ashburn, Broadlands, South Riding, Gainesville, and Linton Hall. The district overlaps with Virginia's 1st and 10th congressional districts, and with the 10th, 13th, 32nd, 33rd, 40th, 50th, 67th, and 87th districts of the Virginia House of Delegates. Loudoun County () is in the northern part of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. In 2020, the census returned a population of 420,959, making it Virginia's third-most populous county. Loudoun County's seat is Leesburg. Loudoun County is part of the Washington–Arlington–Alexandria, DC–VA–MD–WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2020, Loudoun County had a median household income of $147,111. Since 2008, the county has been ranked first in the U.S. in median household income among jurisdictions with a population of 65,000 or more. Between 1952 and 2008, Loudoun was a Republican-leaning county. Loudoun County Board Of Supervisors
Loudoun County, Virginia is divided into eight magisterial districts: Algonkian, Ashburn, Blue Ridge, Broad Run, Catoctin, Dulles, Leesburg, and Sterling. The magisterial districts each elect one supervisor to the Board of Supervisors which governs Loudoun County. Jennifer Lynn Wexton (née Tosini; born May 27, 1968) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the United States representative for Virginia's 10th congressional district since 2019. The district is anchored in the outer portion of Northern Virginia. It includes all of Clarke, Frederick, and Loudoun counties; Manassas, Manassas Park, and Winchester cities; and parts of Fairfax and Prince William counties. A member of the Democratic Party, Wexton was a member of the Virginia Senate from 2014 to 2019 representing the 33rd district, which includes parts of Fairfax and Loudoun counties.
