Joey Pecoraro is an American musician and record producer from Detroit, Michigan. He rose to prominence in the lo-fi hip hop movement of the late 2010s with the title track from his self-released debut studio album ''Tired Boy'' (2017). Lofi hip hop (also known as 'chillhop'' and lofi beats to study to) is a form of downtempo music that combines elements of hip hop and chill-out music. It was popularized in the 2010s on YouTube and has been referred to as an Internet meme.
