Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong
Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong were an English indie rock band based in London. Although the band attracted considerable press attention following the 2007 release of their debut single "Lucio Starts Fires" they failed to capitalise on this, and disbanded in 2010. The band are perhaps best known for failing to ever release their critically acclaimed debut album. Overview The original line-up included singer Joe Lean, guitarists Tommy D (Tom Dougall) and Dominic O'Dair, bassist Panda (Maxim Barron) and drummer James Craig. Lead singer Joe Lean also acts under the name Joe Van Moyland, and was drummer with The Pipettes until June 2007. He has played Jamie Chapman in ''Peep Show'' and Thomas Tallis in ''The Tudors''. The Cribs
The Cribs are a British indie rock band originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, that formed in 2001. The band consists of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross Jarman. They were subsequently joined by ex-The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr who was an official member of the group from 2008 until 2011. The band, who first became active on the concert circuit in 2002, were initially tied to other like-minded UK bands of that time, most notably The Libertines, by a British music press that were looking for a 'British rearguard' to the wave of popular US alternative rock bands of the time. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. George Craig (musician)
George Craig (born 11 July 1990) is the English lead singer of the British band One Night Only, and a model for Burberry. Music George Craig joined One Night Only in 2003. The band had their first top ten hit with " Just For Tonight" in 2008 and shortly after released their first album, ''Started a Fire''. The next single off the album was "It's About Time", which peaked in the UK Singles Chart at number 37 and remained in the chart for one week. July 2008 saw the re-release of " You and Me" which failed to reach the top 40. The band then took time off to record, during this time they announced the departure of their drummer Sam Ford and that his replacement would be George's brother James. In May 2010, One Night Only released their first single off their second album, "Say You Don't Want It". Rose Pipette
Rose Elinor Dougall (born 13 March 1986) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. She was a member of The Pipettes and has performed with Mark Ronson. She also performs and records as a solo artist. Career Dougall joined The Pipettes in 2003 after being introduced to the initial line-up by Monster Bobby at The Basketmakers pub in Brighton. With The Pipettes, Dougall took lead vocals on the singles "Judy" and "Dirty Mind". During her time with The Pipettes, she also provided guest vocals for The Young Playthings, Brakes and Dr Colossus. On 18 April 2008, it was announced in a blog post on the band's Myspace that Dougall and bandmate Rebecca Stephens had amicably left the band "to pursue other musical projects". Pukkelpop is an annual music festival that takes place near the city of Hasselt, Belgium, in mid- to late August. It is held within a large enclosure of fields and woodland—adjacent to a dual carriageway called ''Kempische Steenweg''—in the village of Kiewit, approximately 7 km north of Hasselt.
