Jim Duffy (footballer)
James Duffy (born 27 April 1959) is a Scottish football coach and former player, who is currently in his second spell as manager of Scottish League One club Clyde. During his playing career he played for Celtic, Greenock Morton, Dundee (three spells) and Partick Thistle. His managerial career has involved spells with Falkirk, Hibernian, Dundee (two spells – first as player-manager), Brechin City, Greenock Morton, Dumbarton and Ayr United. Duffy also had a brief Director of Football role at Hearts and an extensive coaching career including spells in English football. Playing career Duffy was born in Glasgow, growing up in the Maryhill area of the city (specifically the Wyndford estate) where he was a childhood friend and neighbour of Charlie Nicholas. Dens Park, officially known as Kilmac Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Dundee, Scotland, which is the home of club Dundee F.C. and has a capacity of . The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Simon Allan Stainrod (born 1 February 1959) is an English former footballer who played for Sheffield United, Oldham Athletic, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa and Stoke City. He also played in France for RC Strasbourg and FC Rouen and in Scotland for Falkirk, Dundee and Ayr United. Career Stainrod was born in Sheffield and began his career with Sheffield United making his debut towards the end of the 1975–76, he scored twice in seven matches as the Blades suffered relegation to the Second Division. He spent four season at Bramall Lane making 75 appearances scoring 14 goals before he moved to Oldham Athletic in Match 1979. Dundee Football Club is a professional football club based in the city of Dundee, Scotland, founded in 1893. The team are nicknamed "The Dark Blues" or "The Dee". The PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year (often called the Players' Player of the Year, or simply the Scottish Player of the Year) is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the season in Scottish football.
