Jesús Del Pozo
Jesús del Pozo (born 21 December 1946, Madrid, Spain – died 13 August 2011, Madrid) was a Spanish fashion designer. Del Pozo was the recipient of numerous professional awards during his career. Trajectory In 1974, he opened his first men’s fashion store, and in 1976 he presented his first men’s collection at the SEHM in Paris. From 1980 onward, he presented his women’s ''prêt-à-porter'' collections at the Cibeles fashion show in Madrid. In 1989, he showed at the Fashion Foundation in Tokyo, and in 1990 at La Cour Carrée at the Louvre in Paris. In 1992, Jesús del Pozo entered the world of perfume with «Duende», his first feminine fragrance, followed by «Quasar» (1994), «Esencia de Duende» (1996), «Halloween» (1997), «Quasar Adventure» (1999), «J. del Pozo In Black» (2005), «Halloween kiss» (2008) and «Ámbar» (2010). El Juramento (zarzuela)
El juramento (Spanish for ''The Oath'') is a 3-act zarzuela by Joaquín Gaztambide for libretto by Luis de Olona. Its central character (the Marquis) is taken from a French operetta ''La Rose de Peronne'' by Eugène Scribe and Adolphe Adam (1840), but the new work is entirely original. It was first staged on 20 December 1858 at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.This date is printed on the title page of the 1858 libretto edition. It is thought to be among Gaztambide's best compositions and one of the most important scores in the history of zarzuela. ''Farnace'' is an opera by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, set to a libretto by Antonio Maria Lucchini initially set by Leonardo Vinci during 1724. Vivaldi's setting received its first performance in 1727 at the Teatro Sant'Angelo in Venice. Popular at the time, and revived with great success at the Sporck theater in Prague in 1730, Vivaldi's ''Farnace'' ( RV 711) slipped into oblivion until the last quarter of the 20th century when it emerged from obscurity. The Teatro de la Zarzuela is a theatre in Madrid, Spain. The theatre is today mainly devoted to zarzuela (the Spanish traditional musical theatre genre), as well as operetta and recitals. History The theatre was designed by architect Jerónimo de la Gándara and built by José María Sánchez Guallart on the initiative of the Spanish Lyrical Company to provide a space for performances of operettas in the Spanish capital. Zarzuela
() is a Spanish lyric-dramatic genre that alternates between spoken and sung scenes, the latter incorporating operatic and popular songs, as well as dance. The etymology of the name is uncertain, but some propose it may derive from the name of a royal hunting lodge, the Palace of Zarzuela, near Madrid, where that type of entertainment was allegedly first presented to the court. Teatro Real
The Teatro Real (Royal Theatre) is an opera house in Madrid, Spain. Located at the Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace of Madrid, Royal Palace, and known colloquially as ''El Real'', it is considered the top institution of the performing and musical arts in the country and one of the most prestigious opera houses in Europe.
