Jesse Lonergan
Jesse Lonergan (born 14 November 1994) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by the club in the 2012 National Draft, with pick #13. He made his AFL debut in Round 6, 2013, against at Carrara Stadium. He was delisted at the conclusion of the 2018 season. He was recruited in 2019 by the Woodville West Torrens Football Club in the SANFL. In 2020 played in Woodville West Torrens Football Club's winning premiership team. Sam Lonergan
Sam Lonergan (born 26 March 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club and Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted from the Launceston Football Club, via the Tassie Mariners U18s and the Tasmanian Devils, with selection 50 in the 2005 Draft. Lonergan captained the Allies (a composite team drawn from Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory), against Victoria during Grand Final week. In that game, he kicked five goals and was the leading possession winner on the ground. He also became the first player in the history of the Tassie Mariners U18s to win successive best and fairest awards. The 2020 South Australian National Football League (SANFL) grand final was an Australian rules football match played at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday, 18 October to determine the premiers for the 2020 SANFL season. The match was contested by North Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens in the first grand final meeting between the two teams, although North Adelaide did play West Torrens in the 1949 SANFL Grand Final. Carrara Stadium (known commercially as Metricon Stadium) is a stadium on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, located in the suburb of Carrara. The stadium is primarily used for Australian rules football, serving as the home ground of the Gold Coast Suns, who compete in the Australian Football League. In addition, the venue is used occasionally for cricket, including Big Bash League matches.
