Jeanne-Mance–Viger
Jeanne-Mance–Viger is a provincial electoral district in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It corresponds exactly to the territory of the Saint-Léonard borough of the city of Montreal. The current MNA is Filomenna Rotiroti who was first elected in 2008. It was created for the 2003 election from Jeanne-Mance and part of Viger and has remained a Liberal stronghold ever since. It is the safest Liberal electoral district in Montreal's east end. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged. It borders the electoral districts of Viau to west, Anjou-Louis Riel to the east and southeast, Rosemont to the southwest, and Bourassa-Sauve to the north. Filomena Rotiroti
Filomena Rotiroti (born May 17, 1974) is a Canadian politician. Rotiroti was elected to represent the riding of Jeanne-Mance–Viger in the National Assembly of Quebec in the 2008 provincial election. She is a member of the Quebec Liberal Party. ''Montréal Express'', October 30, 2008. Prior to her election to office, she worked as a chief of staff to her caucus colleague . She also worked as counsellor for the Minister of Economic and Regional Development.

Michel Bissonnet
Michel Bissonnet, MNA (born March 28, 1942) is a Canadian politician who served as Liberal member and President (House Speaker) of the National Assembly of Quebec. Background Bissonnet obtained a license in law at Université de Montréal in 1976 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec the following year. Prior to his years as a lawyer, he worked for the City of Montreal for 17 years in various positions including archivist and assistant office manager. NDP candidate Bissonnet was formerly involved in the federal New Democratic Party and its Quebec wing, the defunct Nouveau Parti démocratique du Québec. Viger (provincial Electoral District)
Viger was a provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada. It consisted of part of the Saint-Léonard, Rosemont and Mercier-Est neighbourhoods in Montreal. It was created for the 1981 election. Its final general election was in 1998; there was also a by-election in 2002. It disappeared in the 2003 election as its territory was carved up and distributed among the new electoral district of Jeanne-Mance–Viger and the existing electoral districts of Anjou and Rosemont. 2008 Quebec General Election
The 2008 Quebec general election was held in the Canada, Canadian Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Quebec on December 8, 2008. The Quebec Liberal Party, under incumbent Premier Jean Charest, was re-elected with a majority government, marking the first time since the 1950s (when the Union Nationale (Quebec), Union Nationale of Maurice Duplessis won four consecutive elections) that a party or leader was elected to a third consecutive mandate, and the first time for the Liberals since the 1930s, when Louis-Alexandre Taschereau was Premier. The 2008 election also marked the first time that Québec solidaire won a seat. 2007 Quebec General Election
The 2007 Quebec general election was held in the Canadian province of Quebec on March 26, 2007 to elect members of the 38th National Assembly of Quebec. The Quebec Liberal Party led by Premier Jean Charest managed to win a plurality of seats, but were reduced to a minority government, Quebec's first in 129 years, since the 1878 general election. The Action démocratique du Québec, in a major breakthrough, became the official opposition. The Parti Québécois was relegated to third-party status for the first time since the 1973 election. The Liberals won their lowest share of the popular vote since Confederation, and the PQ with their 28.35% of the votes cast won their lowest share since 1973 and their second lowest ever (ahead of only the 23.06% attained in their initial election campaign in 1970). 2003 Quebec General Election
The 2003 Quebec general election was held on April 14, 2003, to elect members of the National Assembly of Quebec (Canada). The Parti libéral du Québec (PLQ), led by Jean Charest, defeated the incumbent Parti Québécois, led by Premier Bernard Landry. In Champlain there was a tie between PQ candidate Noëlla Champagne and Liberal candidate Pierre-A. Brouillette; although the initial tally was 11,867 to 11,859, a judicial recount produced a tally of 11,852 each. A new election was held on May 20 and was won by Champagne by a margin of 642 votes. Jeanne-Mance was a former provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada. It corresponded to part of the Saint-Léonard neighbourhood in Montreal. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of Montréal–Jeanne-Mance electoral district. Its final election was in 1998.
