Jean-Marc Jafet
Jean Marc Jafet (born May 8, 1956) is a French bassist and composer. He is considered one of the top bassists in France. Biography Jean-Marc Jafet was born on May 8, 1956 in Nice, France, to guitarist father and mother singer. JM Jafet started drumming in the 65/70. He then changed his instrument and became a bassist in 1978 to perform with the Brazilian duo " Les Etoiles". He is one of the most famous, recorded and in-demand electric bass players in France, and known for his work with Sylvain Luc, André Ceccarelli, Didier Lockwood, Biréli Lagrène, Michel Petrucciani and many others. Richard Galliano (born 12 December 1950, Cannes, Alpes-Maritimes) is a French accordionist of Italian heritage. Allmusic biography/ref> Biography He was drawn to music at an early age, starting with the accordion at 4, influenced by his father Luciano, an accordionist originally from Italy, living in Nice. After a long and intense period of study (he took up lessons on the trombone, harmony, and counterpoint at the Academy of Music in Nice), at 14, in a search to expand his ideas on the accordion, he began listening to jazz and heard records by the trumpet player Clifford Brown. "I copied all the choruses of Clifford Brown, impressed by his tone and his drive, his way of phrasing over the thunderous playing of Max Roach". Michel Jonasz (born 21 January 1947 in Drancy, France) is a French composer-songwriter, singer and actor. His compositions include: ''La boîte de jazz'', ''Joueurs de blues'' and ''Les vacances au bord de la mer''. Born of Hungarian immigrant parents, Michel Jonasz left school at the age of 15 to find his way in the arts. Painting, theatre and music interested him, but he began his artistic career as a pianist. After working with both Vigon and The Lemons, in 1966 he created the band King Set with his friend, the guitarist Alain Goldstein. Two radio successes made his voice and his talent for rhythm known: an original composition, ''Apesanteur'' (Weightlessness), in 1967, and ''Jezebel'' in 1968. His solo career began slowly with a single ("45t") at the end of 1968 under the name of Michel Kingset, the next in 1970 under his own name.
