Jan Jensen (skiing)
Jan Jensen (14 July 1944 – 22 October 2002) was a Norwegian sports official. Jensen chaired Østfold District Skiing Association and Østfold District Federation of Sports. In 1994, he was elected deputy vice president of the Norwegian Confederation of Sports, stepping down to status of board member in 1995, when he was elected president of the Norwegian Ski Federation. In 1999, he was a contender for the presidency of the Norwegian Confederation of Sports, but at the national convention he lost the vote to Kjell O. Kran, and left the board as well. He remained president of the Norwegian Skiing Federation until his death from cancer in October 2002. The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports ( no, Norges idrettsforbund og olympiske og paralympiske komité; NIF) is the umbrella organization for sport in Norway. It is the largest volunteering organization in Norway, with more than 2 million members and 12,000 sports clubs in 19 region confederations and 54 national federations. The current president is Berit Kjøll. Norwegian Ski Federation
The Norwegian Ski Federation ( no, Norges Skiforbund) is headquartered in Oslo, Norway and is the national representative of the International Ski Federation. Founded on 21 February 1908, it covers the skiing disciplines of alpine, cross-country, freestyle, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and snowboarding. The organization is also involved in the promotion of skiing in Norway, cooperating with the Association for the Promotion of Skiing. The current president is Tove Moe Dyrhaug, and vice president is Aage Schaanning. The ''Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard'' (FIS; en, International Ski and Snowboard Federation) is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. Founded on 2 February 1924 in Chamonix, France during the inaugural Winter Olympic Games, the FIS is responsible for the Olympic disciplines of Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding. Johan Baumann
Johan Baumann (born 8 August 1934) is a Norwegian dogsledder, sports administrator and politician. He served as president of the Norwegian Ski Federation from 1987 to 1995. He won six national titles in dogsledding and was awarded the King's Cup in 1960. From 1972 to 1978 he chaired the Association for the Promotion of Skiing. Sverre Seeberg
Sverre Knutsønn Seeberg (born 3 December 1950) is a Norwegian sports official. He was an active dog sled racer, being national champion in the sport. He served as president of the Norwegian Sled Dog Racing Association, co-founded the European Sled Dog Racing Association and in 1986 became an honorary member of his local club Holmenkollen Hundekjørerklubb. From 1983 to 1988 he was the secretary-general of the Norwegian Ski Federation. In skiing, he represents the club IL Heming. Seeberg became president of the Norwegian Ski Federation in 2002 upon Jan Jensen's death, and in 2004 he also became a board member of the International Ski Federation.
