Jamie Sinclair
Jamie Ann Sinclair (born February 21, 1992) is an American-Canadian curler from Osgoode, Ontario and is a three-time U.S. National Champion. Her United States Curling Association membership is through the Charlotte Curling Association in Charlotte, North Carolina where she has a number of personal connections. She grew up in Manotick, Ontario, a suburb of Ottawa. Curling career 2007–2013: Juniors Sinclair won a gold medal at the 2007 Canada Winter Games, playing lead for the Rachel Homan rink. She was a member of the Homan rink that won the 2006 Bantam provincial championship. She won the Bantam provincial championship again in 2009 as a skip. Sinclair played in her first World Curling Tour (WCT) event, at the 2011 Challenge Casino Lac Leamy. Her rink finished with a 1–2 record in her pool, and did not make the playoffs. 2018 Players' Championship
The 2018 Players' Championship was held from April 10 to 15, 2018 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario. It was the seventh men's and sixth women's Grand Slam event of the 2017–18 World Curling Tour. On the men's side, Calgary's Kevin Koe won his first Players' Championship as a skip (he had previously won in 2004 playing third for John Morris). On the women's side, Minnesota's Jamie Sinclair rink became the first American ever team to win a Grand Slam championship. The 2007 Canada Games, Canada Winter Games were held in Whitehorse, Yukon, from Friday 23 February 2007 to Saturday 10 March 2007. These were the first Canada Games held ''Northern Canada, North of 60'' (in the northern territories). The games were held concurrent with the Inuit Games and Dene Games. United States Curling Association
The United States Curling Association (USCA or USA Curling) is the national governing body of the sport of curling in the United States. Osgoode, Ontario
Osgoode (also known as Osgoode Village) is a population centre in Osgoode Ward in the rural south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located just 2 km east of the Rideau River. Until amalgamation in 2001, it was located in Osgoode Township. According to the Canada 2016 Census Osgoode had a population of 2,578. The 2021 United States Women's Curling Championship was held from May 26 to 30, 2021 at the Wausau Curling Club in Wausau, Wisconsin. The event was held in conjunction with the 2021 United States Men's Curling Championship. 2020 United States Women's Curling Championship
The 2020 United States Women's Curling Championship was held from February 8 to 15, 2020 at the Eastern Washington University Recreation Center in Spokane, Washington. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 United States Men's Curling Championship. In the final, Tabitha Peterson defeated Jamie Sinclair 7–5. Since Team Peterson met certain prerequisites in terms of world ranking points (60 points year-to-date or ranked 70th or higher) they would have represented the United States at the 2020 World Women's Curling Championship, which was scheduled to be held in Prince George, British Columbia. The tournament was canceled due to COVID-19; as the 2021 United States Championship has been delayed to May 2021 due to COVID-19, the 2020 champions will represent the United States at the 2021 World Women's Curling Championship. 2021 United States Olympic Curling Trials
The 2021 United States Olympic Curling Trials was held from November 12 to 21, 2021 at the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The trials featured six men's teams and six women's teams who played in a double round robin tournament. After the round robin, the top two teams on each side played a best-of-three playoff to determine the winner. The winner of both the men's and women's events will represent the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
