Jamie Arentzen
Jamie Arentzen (born November 22, 1970) is a member of the alternative rock band American Hi-Fi and lead guitarist for Miley Cyrus. In the spring of 2009, he also played with Butch Walker's band, Butch Walker and the Let's Go Out Tonites. Life and career Arentzen was born in Guilford, Connecticut, where he attended Guilford High School. Thereafter, he studied music and liberal arts at the University of Miami, the University of Connecticut and Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Settling in Boston, Arentzen played in various bands, including the indie band Sky Heroes. While living in Boston, he formed American Hi-Fi with friends Stacy Jones, Brian Nolan, and Drew Parsons. Arentzen currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. Guilford, Connecticut
Guilford is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States, that borders Madison, Branford, North Branford and Durham, and is situated on I-95 and the Connecticut seacoast. The population was 22,073 at the 2020 census. History Guilford was named after the town of Guildford, in England, the native home of a share of its first settlers. In early maps of the Connecticut Colony, the town is seen on several maps as Gilford. First settled by Europeans in 1639 after a treaty with the “ Sachem Squaw” Shaumpishuh. Guilford is considered by some to have the third largest collection of historic homes in New England, with important buildings from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Drew Parsons (musician)
Drew "Mongo" Parsons (born October 12, 1974 in West Chester, Pennsylvania) is the bassist for the band American Hi-Fi. Early life Drew Parsons moved to the Boston area in 1993 to attend Boston College. In 1994, he began a professional music career playing with local Boston artist, Tracy Bonham. He toured the world with Tracy Bonham, and made a Gold selling record, “The Burdens of Being Upright”, which received a Grammy nomination. In 1997, Drew started his own band, American Hi-Fi, with 3 other local Boston musicians. They have made 4 records, and toured the United States, Europe, and Japan for over 9 years. They have appeared on MTV, the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, and several other International programs, including Top of the Pops in England.
