Jakarta EPrix
The Jakarta ePrix is an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship, which is held in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the first FIA-sanctioned race in the country since the A1 GP Grand Prix of Nations race in Sentul in 2006 and the first ever motor racing event to be administered directly by the FIA. The plan to include Jakarta as part of the 2020 Formula E Championship was conceived in Monaco in April 2019, and discussed in New York City in July 2019. In August, the decision was made and the event was officially announced in September 2019, with Jakarta originally intended to hold the event for five consecutive years starting from 2020. It was supposed to have been first held in the 2019–20 season, on 6 June 2020; the race was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit
The Jakarta International e-Prix Circuit is a racing circuit in the Ancol, Jakarta. It was built for the Jakarta ePrix of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship. The first edition of Jakarta ePrix was held here in 2022. Background The proposal of the Jakarta ePrix was first announced in July 2019, with mid-2020 announced as the target date for an inaugural race. The originally intended location, the National Monument and the Merdeka Square was rejected along with a proposal for the use of the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Originally, there were 5 options being proposed: Jenderal Sudirman Street, Indah Kapuk Beach, Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta International Stadium, and the Ancol region. Ahmad Sahroni
Ahmad Sahroni (born 8 August 1977) is an Indonesian politician from Nasdem Party who is a member of the People's Representative Council. Personal life Ahmad Sahroni was born in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta on 8 August 1977. His father was a nasi padang seller in the Port of Tanjung Priok. After working for some time, he continued higher education, studying at an economic institute in Bekasi. He is married to Feby Belinda and the couple has two children. He also became the president of the Ferrari Owners' Club Indonesia. Recently featured in CNBC article on benefits of flying private citing safety as a key factor. Merdeka Square ( Indonesian: ''Medan Merdeka'' or ''Lapangan Merdeka'', formerly nl, Koningsplein, lit. "King's Square") is a large square located in the center of Jakarta, Indonesia. ''Merdeka'' is the Indonesian word for freedom or independence. Measuring approximately one square kilometer in area, if the surrounding fields within the Merdeka Square are included, it is considered one of the largest squares in the world. National Monument Of Indonesia
The National Monument ( id, Monumen Nasional, abbreviated Monas) is a 132 m (433 ft) obelisk in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence. Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno. Monas was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil. The Diriyah ePrix is a race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship, held in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. It was first held as part of the 2018–19 season and was the first Formula E race to be held in the Middle East. The second Diriyah ePrix was held on 22 and 23 November 2019. The Hong Kong ePrix was an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship, held at the Hong Kong Central Harbourfront Circuit in Hong Kong. The track was touted as a potential venue for the all-electric series’ inaugural race. It was first raced in the 2016–17 season as the first major international motorsport event in Hong Kong. In 2018–19 season, the 2019 Hong Kong ePrix was the 50th race of Formula E since its inception in 2014. It was widely expected to be the first wet race in Formula E racing history. The Beijing ePrix was an automobile race of the Formula E championship in Beijing, People's Republic of China. It was first raced in the 2014-15 season, of which the 2014 Beijing ePrix was the first Formula E race in history. Circuit The ePrix took place at the Beijing Olympic Green Circuit. It ran around the grounds of the "Bird's Nest" Olympic stadium used in the 2008 Summer Olympics. The track featured 20 turns, and at was the longest track used in Formula E.
