Jackson-Aitken Farm
Jackson-Aitken Farm is a historic farm house, dairy barn and farm fields located at Andes in Delaware County, New York, United States. The farmhouse was built about 1850 and is a one and one half wood-frame structure in a vernacular Greek Revival style. The barn is a large three story wooden building with a cross gabled banked entrance built in 1896. It features a distinctive cupola. Andes is a town in Delaware County, New York, United States. The Greek Revival was an architectural style, architectural movement which began in the middle of the 18th century but which particularly flourished in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, predominantly in northern Europe and the United States and Canada, but also in Greece itself following independence in 1832. In architecture, a cupola () is a relatively small, most often dome-like, tall structure on top of a building.
