Jack Walker (rugby Union)
Jack Robert Walker (born 6 May 1996) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for Premiership Rugby club Harlequins and the England national team. Early life Walker was born in Steeton, West Yorkshire, his father played both Rugby Union and Rugby league. Walker attended Settle College and Prince Henry's Grammar School, he started playing at North Ribblesdale. Walker began playing at fly-half before being moved to the forwards. Walker was awarded the Jaguar Academy of Sport rising star in 2012. Club career Walker signed for Yorkshire Carnegie in 2013. He made his debut in October 2013 coming off the bench in a match against Bristol Bears at the age of 17 years and 160 days becoming the youngest forward to appear for Carnegie. Steeton, West Yorkshire
Steeton is a village in the City of Bradford metropolitan borough, West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is situated approximately south-east from Skipton, north-west from Keighley and just south of the A629 road. The village is part of Steeton with Eastburn civil parish. History The village is mentioned in the Domesday book along with Eastburn, Grassington, Linton and Threshfield as belonging to Gamelbar. In 1752–53 the Keighley and Kendal Turnpike followed Hollins Bank Road with the toll bar situated at the bottom of Steeton Bank. An inn named the “Pack Horse” was located nearby. The South Africa national under-20 rugby union team (nicknamed the Junior Boks or the Baby Boks) are South Africa's junior team at national level. They have been competing in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship (formerly the IRB Junior World Championship) since its inception in 2008. Jamie George
Jamie Edward George (born 20 October 1990) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for Premiership Rugby club Saracens and the England national team. Early life George played for local team Hertford Rugby Football Club in his youth, until he was asked to join the Saracens Academy. George was educated at Haileybury and Imperial Service College and captained the Haileybury 1st XV for two years, in Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth, while also being a regular for the 1st XV in Y11. The Scotland national rugby union team represents Scotland in men's international rugby union and is administered by the Scottish Rugby Union. Steve Borthwick
Stephen William Borthwick (born 12 October 1979) is an English rugby union coach who played lock for Bath and Saracens. At International level, he represented the senior England rugby union team between 2001 and 2010 and captained them between 2008 and 2010. He was appointed the England forwards coach in December 2015; a role which he left in mid 2020 to become head coach of Leicester Tigers. In December 2022 he was appointed as the England Head Coach. The 2023 Six Nations Championship (known as the Guinness Six Nations for sponsorship reasons) was the 24th Six Nations Championship, an annual rugby union competition contested by the national teams of England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. It was the 129th edition of the competition (including all its previous incarnations as the Home Nations Championship and Five Nations Championship). France entered the tournament as defending champions, having won the Grand Slam in 2022. Eddie Jones (rugby Union)
Edward Jones (born 30 January 1960) is an Australian rugby union coach and former player, who was most recently the head coach of the England national team from 2015 to 2022. He previously coached Australia between 2001 and 2005, taking the team to the 2003 Rugby World Cup final. He was an advisor with South Africa when the Springboks won the 2007 Rugby World Cup, and from 2012 to 2015 he coached Japan, leading them in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and an upset win over South Africa. In November 2015, Jones was appointed head coach of England and led them to win the 2016 and 2017 Six Nations Championships, becoming only the second national team to be unbeaten in a calendar year. Harry Mallinder (born 13 June 1996) is an English professional rugby union player for Black Rams Tokyo in Japan Rugby League One. Early life Born in Sale, Greater Manchester, Mallinder resided there until 11, attending both Tyntesfield and Brooklands primary schools. He played rugby for Ashton on Mersey RFC before he moved to Northampton due to his father's work commitments as director of rugby for Northampton Saints. During this time he attended prep school Spratton Hall School. Scotland National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Scotland national under-20 rugby union team participates in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship. Their highest placement is 5th which they achieved in the 2017 World Rugby Under 20 Championship. The U20 side also compete in the Six Nations Under 20s Championship. Both tournaments began in 2008 and replaced the Under 19 or Under 21 championships. The World Rugby Under 20 Championship was known as the IRB Junior World Championship up to 2014. The 2015 World Rugby Under 20 Championship was the eighth annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams. The event was organised for the second time in Italy by rugby's governing body, World Rugby.
