Jack Swift
Jack Swift (born 8 August 1985) is an Australian Paralympic athletics, athletics competitor and paratriathlon, paratriathlete. He was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in athletics in the 400m and 4 × 100 m events. Personal Swift was born on 8 August 1985, and is from the Melbourne suburb of Ivanhoe, Victoria, Ivanhoe in Victoria. He attended Marcellin College, Bulleen, Marcellin College, and played Australian rules football while at school. In 2006, Swift lost the lower part of his right leg when he was twenty-one years old after an accident while at work, "when a 14-tonne excavator fell and crushed his right leg". Prior to his accident, he was a plumber's labourer. He was a finalist for the 2011 Victorian ''Cleo (magazine), Cleo'' Bachelor of the Year. Para-athletics is the sport of athletics practised by people with a disability as a disabled sports, parasport. The list of athletics events, athletics events within the parasport are mostly the same as those available to able-bodied people, with two major exceptions in wheelchair racing and the club throw, which are specific to the division. 2014 ITU World Triathlon Series
The 2014 ITU World Triathlon Series was a series of eight World Championship Triathlon events that lead up to a Grand Final held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Series was organised under the auspices of the world governing body of triathlon, the International Triathlon Union (ITU). Paratriathlon At The 2016 Summer Paralympics
The paratriathlon competitions at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 10–12 September 2016 at Fort Copacabana. Sixty athletes competed across two genders, and six events. This was the first Paralympic Games to feature paratriathlon, one of two new sports (along with paracanoe) added to the schedule for 2016.
