Jacek Zdzisław Siewiera (April 27, 1984 in Wrocław) is a Polish army officer, medical doctor and lawyer. A doctor of philosophy in medical science, an expert in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy. University of Oxford alumnus. The organizer and first head of the Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic of the Military Medical Institute. The founder of the Rescue Center. Bronisław Komorowski
Bronisław Maria Komorowski (; born 4 June 1952) is a Polish politician and historian who served as President of Poland from 2010 to 2015. Komorowski served as Minister of Defence from 2000 to 2001. As Marshal of the Sejm, Komorowski exercised the powers and duties of head of state following the death of President Lech Kaczyński in a plane crash on 10 April 2010. Komorowski was then the governing Civic Platform party's candidate in the resulting presidential election, which he won in the second round of voting on 4 July 2010. Katowice Trade Hall Roof Collapse
On 28 January 2006, the roof of one of the buildings at the Katowice International Fair (''Międzynarodowe Targi Katowickie'') collapsed in Chorzów / Katowice, Poland. At 16:15 GMT (17:15 local time), the central section of the roof of the hall collapsed, possibly due to the weight of snow on the building. According to the police there were roughly 700 people in the hall at the time of the collapse. A further collapse occurred 90 minutes later during rescue operations. Polish government spokesman Krzysztof Mejer confirmed that there had been 65 dead as well as more than 170 injured, including 13 foreigners.
