JR Central Towers
The JR Central Towers are in Nakamura-ku in the city of Nagoya, central Japan. It is located right above Nagoya Station and serves as the headquarters of the Central Japan Railway Company. Built in 2000, it is the second-tallest building in Nagoya, and eighth-tallest overall in Japan as of 2015. It is the world's largest train station complex by floor area. The office tower is slightly taller than the hotel tower. Takashimaya and the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel are in the towers. Nakamura-ku, Nagoya
is one of the 16 wards of Nagoya, Japan. As of October 1, 2019, the ward has an estimated population of 135,134 and a population density of 8,290 persons per km². The total area is 16.30 km². History Nakamura Ward is famous as the birthplace of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. One of the merchant areas is called Funairi-chō, which is close to the Hori Canal. The area was heavily damaged during the bombing of Nagoya in World War II. One of the houses that was saved from there is the Tōmatsu House. The modern ward was officially established on . Nagoya Station
is a major railway station in Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Japan. It is one of the world's largest train stations by floor area (410,000 m2), and houses the headquarters of the Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). Much of this space is located in the JR Central Towers atop the station, as well as in underground concourses. The current station complex was completed on December 20, 1999.
