JK Tammeka Tartu
Tartu JK Tammeka, commonly known as Tartu Tammeka or simply Tammeka, is a football club, based in Tartu, Estonia, that competes in the Meistriliiga, the top flight of Estonian football. Founded in 1989, the club has played in the Meistriliiga since the 2005 season and have never been relegated from the Estonian top division. The club's home ground is Tartu Tamme Stadium. History Early years and road to the Meistriliiga Tammeka was founded on 13 June 1989 as a youth academy by Hillar Otto, Avo Jakovits and Heino Ligi. In 2000, the club joined the Estonian football league system and began competing in the Southern division of the III liiga. Tammeka's debut season was a success as the team finished first with 46 points out of the possible 60. Tammeka was promoted to the II liiga, and in 2001, to the Esiliiga. Tamme Stadium
Tamme Stadium ( et, Tamme staadion) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tartu, Estonia, located in the district of Tammelinn. First opened in 1932 and reaching its current look in 2011, the stadium is home to Tartu Tammeka and holds 1,638 people. History The original sports park was designed in 1928 by the architect Arnold Matteus. The work was completed in 1932 and in 1936, a grandstand was added. Since then the stadium has been used for games in the Estonian Football League. There have been numerous international athletic competitions held in the stadium, and also Estonian Song Festivals. Tamme Stadium was the home ground for Tartu Olümpia, who became the Estonian champions in 1940, after beating Tallinna Kalev 3–1 in the final round of the 1939–40 Estonian Football Championship season. Tartu JK Merkuur was an Estonian football club based in Tartu. Merkuur was one of the founding members of the Meistriliiga, the top-tier of Estonian football. 2006, the last year of its existence, the club was known as JK Maag for sponsorship reasons. 2012 Meistriliiga
The 2012 season of the Meistriliiga the first level in the Estonian football system is the 22nd season in the league's history. The competition started on 10 March 2012 and will end on 3 November 2012. The defending champions are Flora, who won their ninth league championship last year. Teams Ajax finished the 2011 season in 10th place and were directly relegated to the Esiliiga, ending a one-year stay in the Estonian top flight. They were replaced by Tallinna Kalev, who return to the league after a two-year absence. In addition, the 9th-placed Meistriliiga club, Kuressaare, faced the runners-up of the Esiliiga, Infonet, in a two-legged play-off for a spot in this season's competition. 2011 Meistriliiga
The 2011 Meistriliiga was the 21st season of the Meistriliiga, the top Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 5 March 2011 and concluded on 5 November 2011. The defending champions Flora won their ninth league title. Teams Lootus finished the 2010 season in last place and were relegated to the 2011 Esiliiga as a result, ending their one-year stay in the Estonian top flight. Taking their place were Ajax, who finished the 2010 Esiliiga first among promotion-eligible clubs and third overall. They returned to the top flight after a three-year absence. Tulevik terminated their affiliation with Flora and continued as an independent club in the II Liiga. FC Viljandi was created to ensure top level football would remain in the city of Viljandi. Siim Tenno (born 4 August 1990) is an Estonian footballer who plays for German Oberliga Niedersachsen club MTV Gifhorn as a midfielder. Club career Tenno, Tartu Tammeka youth product, started his men's league career with club's third team in the II Liiga in 2007. Kaarel Kiidron
Kaarel Kiidron (born 30 April 1990) is a retired Estonian footballer who last played in Estonia for JK Tammeka Tartu, as a defender. Career Kaarel Kiidron began his career with FC Lootos Põlva. In 2007, he moved to JK Tammeka Tartu. He rose through the youth ranks, and made his Meistriliiga debut on 14 April 2009. He was loaned to Viktoria Žižkov in 2012. At the end of the season he signed a two-year contract with the club. On January 17, 2014, he terminated the contract with Viktoria Žižkov on a mutual consent. In the middle of February 2014, he took up the position of first team manager in his first pro-team Tammeka. Albert Prosa
Albert Prosa (born 1 October 1990) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Tammeka Prosa began playing football for local club Tammeka. He made his debut in the Meistriliiga on 15 March 2008, in a 1–2 home loss to TVMK. In July 2011, Prosa had a trial at Borussia Dortmund, but failed to secure a contract with the German champions. He scored 22 goals in 33 matches in the 2011 season. Flora On 24 November 2011, Prosa signed three-year contract with Meistriliiga club Flora. Prosa won the Meistriliiga title in the 2015 season. Marko Kristal
Marko Kristal (born 2 June 1973) is an Estonian football manager and former player. He is the assistant manager of Nõmme Kalju. Kristal played as a midfielder for Lõvid, Sport Tallinn, Flora, FC Lahti and the Estonia national team. With Flora, he won seven Meistriliiga titles, two Estonian Cups and two Estonian Supercups. Kristal made his international debut in Estonia's first official match since restoration of independence on 3 June 1992, a 1–1 draw against Slovenia. In 2001, he became the first Estonian player to make 100 appearances for the national team. He made a total of 143 appearances for Estonia, scoring nine goals. 2009 Meistriliiga
The 2009 Meistriliiga was the 19th season of the Meistriliiga, Estonia's premier football league. It started on 7 March 2009 and ended on 10 November 2009. Levadia won their seventh title. Changes from the previous season TVMK were disbanded after the end of the previous season. Hence Vaprus, who originally were to be directly relegated, faced Esiliiga side Paide Linnameeskond in a relegation play-off series for one spot in Meistriliiga 2009. With an aggregate 5–5, Paide Linnameeskond won the promotion play-off against Vaprus on the away goals rule and play their first season in Estonian top division. Tallinna Kalev, who originally were to participate in the relegation series, were spared. Kuressaare earned promotion to the 2009 Meistriliiga after finishing in second place in the 2008 Esiliiga; champions Levadia II were not eligible to be promoted. Norbert Hurt
Norbert Hurt (born 16 April 1983) is an Estonian football coach. He is currently an assistant manager of Flora. Playing career Hurt started playing football with the Merkuur in Tartu and continued with the Tammeka Football Academy. In 2012, he joined II liiga club HÜJK Emmaste. In the following year, Emmaste was promoted to the newly established Esiliiga B division. Hurt left Emmaste in 2014 to pursue his coaching career. Managerial career In 2009, Tammeka hired Hurt as manager for the 2009 season. Since 2011, Hurt coached Flora's reserve team Flora II. On 20 July 2013, he replaced the sacked Flora manager Marko Lelov as caretaker manager, with position being made permanent later. The 2008 season of Meistriliiga, the first level in the Estonian football system, was the 18th season in the league's history. It began on 8 March 2008 and ended on 15 November 2008. The defending champions were Levadia. Promotion and relegation 10th placed Ajax were directly relegated after the end of the previous season. Since reserve squads are not allowed to be promoted to Meistriliiga, third placed Esiliiga team Sillamäe Kalev were directly promoted to 2008 Meistriliiga. Kuressaare (9th placed Meistriliiga team) and Kalju (6th placed Esiliiga team) competed in promotion/relegation play-offs for one spot in 2008 Meistriliiga.
