Jørstad Church
Jørstad Church ( no, Jørstad kirke) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in the northern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Jørstadvågen on the island of Ombo. It is an annex chapel in the Sjernarøy parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1929 using designs by the architect Gustav Helland. The church seats about 150 people. Stavanger Municipality
Stavanger (, , US usually , ) is a city and municipality in Norway. It is the fourth largest city and third largest metropolitan area in Norway (through conurbation with neighboring Sandnes) and the administrative center of Rogaland county. The municipality is the fourth most populous in Norway. Located on the Stavanger Peninsula in southwest Norway, Stavanger counts its official founding year as 1125, the year the Stavanger Cathedral was completed. The diocese is based at the Stavanger Cathedral in the city of Stavanger. The list is divided into nine sections, one for each Deanery () in the county. Ombo
Ombo is an island in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The island is the largest island in the Ryfylke region and the second largest island in Rogaland county. There are several villages on the island including Jørstadvåg, Atlatveit, and Eidssund in the western part of the island and the villages of Tuftene, Skipavik, Skår, and Vestersjø are located on the southeastern part of the island.
