József Ángyán
József Ángyán (born September 20, 1952) is a Hungarian agriculture engineer, professor and politician who served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development from June 2, 2010 to February 5, 2012. He was a member of the National Assembly (MP) between 2006 and 2014. Biography He was born in Nagyatád on 20 September 1952. He finished secondary school in Siófok, in 1971. He graduated as an agricultural engineer from the Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences in 1977, and obtained a doctor of sciences in 1979 as well as a specialized agricultural research engineer degree in 1980. He obtained his candidature degree in the field of agricultural science in 1993 and habilitated in the field of environment science in 1998. He speaks German and Russian at an intermediate level and English at an elementary level. The National Assembly ( hu, Országgyűlés, lit=Country Assembly) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to 4-year terms. Election of members is done using a semi-proportional representation: a mixed-member majoritarian representation with partial scorporo, compensation via transfer votes and mixed single vote; involving single-member districts and one list vote; parties must win at least 5% of the popular vote in order to gain list seats assembly. The Human Chain for Hungary ( hu, Élőlánc Magyarországért), or simply Human Chain, is a green political party in Hungary, founded in October 2005. History The Human Chain was founded by 52 environmentalist and civil activists under the initiative of writer and Védegylet founder András Lányi on 8 October 2005. 2014 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
The 2014 Hungarian parliamentary election took place on 6 April 2014. This parliamentary election was the 7th since the 1990 first multi-party election. The result was a victory for the Fidesz–KDNP alliance, preserving its two-thirds majority, with Viktor Orbán remaining Prime Minister. It was the first election under the new Constitution of Hungary which came into force on 1 January 2012. The new electoral law also entered into force that day. For the first time since Hungary's transition to democracy, the election had a single round. The voters elected 199 MPs instead of the previous 386 lawmakers. Lajos Simicska (born 28 January 1960) is a former Hungarian business magnate, a former politician of Fidesz, and he was the head of APEH, Hungary's internal revenue service between 1998–1999, during the first government of Viktor Orbán. He was the ninth richest person in Hungary in 2016 (dropped to 49th in 2020).
