Jón Sveinbjørn Jónsson
Jón Sveinbjørn Jónsson (28 June 1955 – 21 November 2008) was a Norwegian poet, children's writer and translator, of Icelandic citizenship (Icelandic name Jón Sveinbjörn Pétursson), born and raised in Norway. He made his literary debut in 1973 with the poetry collection ''Manus''. Among his children's books are ''Pelle Parafins Bøljeband: Serum, serum'' (1981) and ''Håkon Håkonsson'' (1990). Jónsson was part of the poetic activist group "Stuntpoetene" during the 1980s, along with Karin Moe, Triztán Vindtorn Triztán Vindtorn (31 July 1942 – 4 March 2009), born Kjell Erik Larsen, was a Norwegian poet and performance artist from Drammen. He made his literary debut with the poetry collection ''Sentrifuge'' in 1970. Poet
A poet is a person who studies and creates poetry. Poets may describe themselves as such or be described as such by others. A poet may simply be the creator ( thinker, songwriter, writer, or author) who creates (composes) poems (oral or written), or they may also perform their art to an audience. The work of a poet is essentially one of communication, expressing ideas either in a literal sense (such as communicating about a specific event or place) or metaphorically. Torgeir Rebolledo Pedersen
Torgeir Rebolledo Pedersen (born 3 August 1949) is a Norwegian architect, poet, playwright and children's writer. He made his literary debut in 1983 with the poetry collection ''Tidr''. Other collections are ''Stråmann'' from 1990, ''Han som elsket verden'' from 1993, and ''I krig og kjærlighet er ennå mye ugjort'' from 1995. His children's books include ''God natt, lille abbor'' from 2006, and ''Lammet som ikke ville bli lår'' from 2011. He was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 2013. Dagsavisen
''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. Holtermann Knudsen also had to establish his own printing press since the existing printing presses did not want to be affiliated with a labourer's newspaper. The fledgling project was marred by economic problems, and the burden of writing, editing, and printing lay chiefly on Knudsen. Children's Writer
Children's literature or juvenile literature includes stories, books, magazines, and poems that are created for children. Modern children's literature is classified in two different ways: genre or the intended age of the reader. Children's literature can be traced to traditional stories like fairy tales, that have only been identified as children's literature in the eighteenth century, and songs, part of a wider oral tradition, that adults shared with children before publishing existed. The development of early children's literature, before printing was invented, is difficult to trace. Thorvald Steen
Thorvald Steen (born 9 January 1954) is a Norwegian writer and government scholar. He made his literary debut in 1983, and has subsequently published a wide range of novels, plays, collections of poems, books of short stories, children's books and essays. He has distinguished himself as one of Norway's leading internationally oriented writers. His Norwegian breakthrough came in 1992 with a cycle of poems, ''Ilden'' (''The Fire'') and shortly afterward he achieved international recognition with his creative historical novels ''Don Carlos'' (1993), ''Giovanni'' (1995), ''Constantinople'' (1999), ''The Little Horse'' (2002), ''Camel Clouds'' (2004) and ''Lionheart'' (2010).
