Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson
Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson (born 27 October 1990) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Burnley and the Iceland national team. Jóhann began his senior career at Breiðablik for a single season before moving to Dutch team AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie where they also participated in the Europa League. After a few seasons with them, he joined Championship side Charlton Athletic for two seasons, then to newly promoted club Burnley where he featured for most of the 2017–18 season in qualifying for the Europa League. Jóhann was part of the Iceland national team in both the UEFA Euro 2016 and 2018 FIFA World Cup, the former competition saw him assisting Iceland's first ever goal in a major tournament. Jóhann Gunnar Jóhannsson (; 19 September 1969 – 9 February 2018) was an Icelandic composer who wrote music for a wide array of media including theatre, dance, television, and film. His work is stylised by its blending of traditional orchestration with contemporary electronic elements. Jóhann released solo albums from 2002 onward. In 2016, he signed with Deutsche Grammophon, through which he released his last solo album, '' Orphée''. Some of his works in film include the original scores for Denis Villeneuve's ''Prisoners'', ''Sicario'', and ''Arrival'', and James Marsh's ''The Theory of Everything''. Jóhann Sigurjónsson (June 19, 1880 – August 31, 1919) was an Icelandic playwright and poet. Atypically, Jóhann wrote plays and poetry in both his native Icelandic and in Danish. Biography Jóhann was the son of an Icelandic farmer and was born in Laxamýri, Iceland. In 1899 he emigrated to Denmark to study at The Royal Danish Veterinary and Agricultural University, but abandoned his studies in 1902 to devote himself to literature. During this period, he came under the influence of the Danish writer Georg Brandes and the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. He is probably best known for his play ''Fjalla-Eyvindur'' (Danish: ''Bjærg-Ejvind og hans hustru'', English: ''Eyvindur of the Mountains''), which was first published in 1911. Jóhann Hjartarson (born 8 February 1963) is an Icelandic chess grandmaster and lawyer. He is a six-time Icelandic Chess Champion and a two-time Nordic Chess Champion. Since 1998, Johann has been the general counsel and secretary of the Icelandic biotechnology company deCODE genetics, a subsidiary of Amgen. Although he retired from professional chess when he began his legal career in the late 1990s, Johann still competes occasionally and remains one of the strongest chess players in Iceland. Jóhann Sigurðarson (born 21 April 1956) is an Icelandic actor, voice actor and singer. He is known for his role as Leifur in '' Trapped'' and ''The Minister''. Jóhann Hafstein (Akureyri, 19 September 1915 – 15 May 1980) was elected to the Althingi for Reykjavík (Althing constituency), Reykjavík in 1946, which he represented until 1978. Jóhann was prime minister of Iceland from 10 July 1970 to 14 July 1971, for the Independence Party (Iceland), Independence Party. Member of the Althingi 1946–1978. Hafstein was Speaker of the Lower House of the Althingi 1959–1961 and 1962–1963. He was CEO of the Fisheries Bank from 1952 to 1963.
