Järvenpää Plus is a local political party in the municipality of Järvenpää, Finland Finland ( fi, Suomi ; sv, Finland ), officially the Republic of Finland (; ), is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. It shares land borders with Sweden to the northwest, Norway to the north, and Russia to the east, with the Gulf of B .... It was founded as Järvenpää 2000, but changed its name to Järvenpää 2000+, and in the beginning of 2012, changed its name to "Järvenpää Plus". It first participated in the municipal elections in 1988 together with Greens and unaligned candidates. In the 2004 municipal elections the party got 2186 votes (14.2%). It won seven seats in the municipal council. Its most popular candidate was Rauha-Maria Mertjärvi, who got 520 personal preference votes. Järvenpää (; sv, Träskända) is a town and municipality in Finland. It is located on the Helsinki–Riihimäki railway track in Uusimaa region, some north of Helsinki. Neighbouring municipalities are Tuusula, Sipoo and Mäntsälä. People also refer to Kerava as Järvenpää's neighbour, even though they do not technically share a border, thanks to the one kilometre-wide land area that belongs to Tuusula.
